Sophia

Forum

To bad there are so manydifferent names with the same band. But I am here to say the new cd of Sophia (Robin proppersheppard, old singer of the influential GodMachine) is again a jewel. Ofcourse Robin hasn't become a happy figure yet, and still sees the things around him from the darkest corners of his mind, but this little walkaround in the life of ... makes you wanna cry for the beauty every second..
The lyrics still are repetitive, but why changes lines when one line is enough. The songs are catchy, and still seem to evolve around Robin's favorite subjects: the loss of people and the always unanswered life questions..

I believe that with this record R. has again written a masterpiece. A masterpiece that will probably again stay unnoticed to the grand public, but the loverswill appreciate and cherish close to their heart.

Unfortunately i only 've heard Sophia once in my life. It sounded really exciting i remember.
But the real reason i join this discussion is because of the ( to me ) immortalized Godmachine.
'Scenes from the second storey'............, their first album. I'm listening it this very moment. There's no way how to describe its depth and its beauty. Mayby i should pay more attention to Sophia. I guess i was too afraid to be disappointed after such a masterpiece............
