TIM SKOLD - 'DEAD GOD' (6-track CD-Demo) (Recorded: late 2000)
1. Don't Pray For Me 2. The Point 3. Dead God 4. Believe 5. I Hate 6. Burn
Line-up unknown, but probably Skold playing everything. Rumours says that there are four leftover tracks from the same sessions, that remains "unreleased". The tracks are "Don't Ask", "If", "Consequence" and "Too Weird". Any information regarding these tracks are welcomed!

I own the album and have the whole dead god promo downloaded but have recently come across a song of his called "all dies". for all I know its a kmfdm or shotgun messiah song all I know is its really good, anyone who really likes skold MUST download it. don't know anything about the unrealeased tracks though. I'm also pissed that he joined manson. manson will forever be number one on my list but now I'm afraid tim will focus on that as opposed to putting anything else out. And now with tim skold in the band manson gets a free ride. oh well

well I geuss I am a dumb bastard. after sitting down and listening to the album again I remembered where all dies came from but everything else still stands. damn I feel dumb

The first song i ever heard about SKOLD is Hail Mary. Yet he remains unknown to me and i'm very curious to know more about him. Does he play Rock, Satanism, or Underground Hip -Hop? I'm inerested in buying his album and I hope someone will tell me more about him.

ok, sup guys i thought i would let you guys know... i have all skold songs except those 4 i think i have too weird.... it's called Grotesque Burlesque and it's backwards.... i'm not sure if that was planned or if it was ripped backwards on accident... i know this... it's tight as hell... and my friend found out how to play it forwards...

Tim Skold is a god.
>>By Manny (Friday, 23 May 2003 02:11)
He needs to ditch Manson and go solo, by the way.
>>By Manny (Friday, 23 May 2003 02:12)
did skold also do a version of 'you spin me right round'? i downloaded a version of it which says its by manson (all the skold songs say they r by manson...the point, dead god etc) but it sounds like skolds voice singing it. anyhow... skold rox my sox :) *giggles*
>>By missi (Sunday, 25 May 2003 19:19)
i think the cover of you spin me right round you are speaking of is "Dope"
They are awsome. check out their song Die Motherfucker Die
>>By LYaDeadHomie (Monday, 26 May 2003 01:21)
the Grotesque Burlesque version i downloaded was a song called Lamb Of God which is on Manson's Holywood... i'm guessing it was ripped backwards to fuck with people's minds and make them think they're getting some sort of new manson material early.

Tim Skold does have an album of his own available, entitled Skold. Pretty kickin album, with several decent mixes out and about from singles and whatnot on the net as well. I spent a while looking for the source of the 'demo' songs (Don't Pray For Me, Dead God, etc) because the copies I grabbed were attributed to "Golden Age of the Grotesque" as well. This was before GAoG was available, so who was to know. ;)
And of course, he's done time with both MDFMK/KMFDM and 'ohGr' in recent years.

But of course, Gavin, you knew that because I'm sure you didn't totally gap on the fact that the Skold album is linked on the left side of the page, like I did. ;)

The six song demo is suppsoe to be done by Marilyn Manson. It was made a few months before TGAOG was released as a demo of the album. He gave them out to friends and otehr record industry people.
The Grotesque Burlesque was one of the many fake tracks spread on the internet which was Lamb of God(From the Holy Wood cd) with the beginning of Tourniquet inserted at the end where you can hear the backwards sentence correctly.

Skold joing Manson--BAD Skold better than Manson--GOOD
>>By Tric (Friday, 6 Jun 2003 06:11)
Even though I like Manson a lot, Skold shouldn't have joined. I don't here much of any of his influence on the c.d. the new album altogether is rather bland. Only a few real good songs out of a bunch of mediocre ones.
Another solo Skold cd would be cool. But at least APC has Twiggy now to replace Paz. Hoping that goes good.
Anyone know if Skold will be appearing on the new Skinny Puppy album? I heard a few months ago he might but nothing certain.

Skold rules! Not a day goes by where I don't listen to an album he is related with. He's too good a frontman and everything else to be wasting his time in Marilyn Manson. Although I do like Marilyn Manson a lot - Skold isn't reaching his full potential and all he is capable of if he stays in Manson. He is the musician I admire the most and why he'd want to leave KMFDM - where he had a lot of input i.e. vocals, bass, guitars, drums, programming, mixing, producing etc. to leave all that and go join Manson is beyond me. He could make a kick ass solo album and get better recognition than being overshadowed in Manson - or maybe that is Skold's plan - to get a bit of publicity and then do his own thing. Whatever the case is - Tim you're the best!
