Not sure, if many people still listen to Sinead. She made one big pop-song (Nothing compares to you) and since then seems not to care for pop at all. Now she sings something I would call 'Sweet songs' now. She's nice. Her music is nice. Not everyone needs to stay in the charts all the time.

Some may have forgoten SINEAD O'CONNOR, and some only heard of her once ( Nothing compares to you ). All i got to say is that these songs ( lyrics & music ) influenced some of us.

most people do seem to only know sinéad from Nothing Compares 2 U or from the Pope-ripping incident. i think that's a shame, honetly. Nothing Compares 2 U was a hit song, but it really wasn't the best choice for her voice, as her octave range is just....outstanding. i would think it rivals Celine Dion(seriously). one of the best songs she's ever recorded is Troy, off of her first album(I Do Not Want What I Haven't Got was her second one). since it's first original release, it's been remixed about eight times into different dance versions, but the original still is the best, in my opinion. no, it's not britney or even alanis, it's better than both of them. and sinead may not be richer or sexier than most pop artists today, but that's because she isn't a pop artist. she's one of the few people who can make the hair stand up on the back of your neck with just one listen.

Eu gostaria intensamente de assistir a um show dela aqui no Brasil, mas infelizmente acho que ela não teve a oportunidade de vir pra cá.
É uma emoção tremenda ouvir sua voz no mais alto e extremo sentimento de sua alma, expressando e transmitindo muita energia atravez de suas músicas. Agradeço à Deus por poder ouvir e ver uma linda voz e uma belíssima mulher encantadora como Sinéad, mesmo sendo através da tv ou do som.

I Love Sinead O'Connor! She is a big insperation to me! I won forst place at a singing competition when i was 12 singing Nothing Compares To You! Since then it has been my favorite song, and sing it in almost all of my competitions! I also sang it while auditioning for a role in a teenage broadway perfromance, and made the part of Cinderella! I beleive I have accomplished so much in my singing career, just by the influence of the wonderfully talentd Sinead O'Connor!
I would also enjoy being able to listen to her music on-line! Thank-you

Just bought "Troy (Phoenix From The Flame) Remixed" CD.
My first Sinead purchase ever. Always felt Sinead was a powerful artist,
gnawing at genius like Bjork. But my DJ friend said I should get these mixes
of this Sinead song. I do. At first listen I'm saying to myself, "Oh, Yeah!
The '...you should have left the light on...' song!"
So, as I search my Greek Mythology book, and now the Web, I stumble upon
this Sinead discussion. Reader, can you explain the song and its reference to
the Burning of Troy? Wasn't somebody suppose tol signal so guys out on ships
with a light, but forgot? Helen (in love with Paris), launches 1000 ships, starts
the Trojan War and all this and something about "that light that should have been
left on" is mirrored in this song. Help me put all these pieces together.
There is no other Troy left to Burn. Paris is Burning!

Sinead will always be remembered as an artist that made a difference. Another artist I think is making a difference is master fiddle player Ashley McIsaac. Check him out.

Sinead is the most passionate singer I have ever heard in my life. She's brilliant. I am a huge fan of her song "no man's woman" because it hits very close to home for me. I have been trampled on by men more than I like to admit. Ever since I was a child, so sometimes I got bitter, but I know I got a lovin' spirit who loves me and died for me and will forever love me no matter how much I screw up. And so my security lies in that. It has caused all bitterness to fade away, and has turned to love. I love sineads honesty as well. I know many were upset about the whole ripping of the pope. But I guess I thought "he's not God and people shouldn't be worshiping this guy, what's the big deal?" I found her honesty and edge astounding. Oh well I guess not everyone understands her. Good luck with your new career Sinead!!! if u ever read this. I'll keep u in my prayers. Con mucho paz y amor!

Sinead has made a big impact in my life....her music helped me through...my times...seem to relate...I'm a year younger our thinking is very much the same....way to go sinead! I have all your cd and some albums and I always recommend your music....I am a huge music fan & just saddened that I will not be able to purchase any more from you...but thanks if you ever read this...thanks for all your work...I WAS NEVER EVER DISAPPOINTED....xoxoxo chc cha
