Siam Shade is one of my most first J-Rock band I have ever heard. With them I begin listening to Japanese music out of the Anime. Because is my first Japanese Rock band I heard and because of their great talent is one of my most favorite bands from all the world (because my other most favorite is X-Japan). Even is Siam Shade has disbanded I will still listen to them and I will keep my spirit of a Siam Shade fan because I haven't forgot them!! If u would like to talk to me you can e-mail me at wing_zero_deathscythe_girl@hotmail.com

Siam Shade's songs are cool. They're one of my favourite j-rock band. (other than L'arc en Ciel and Luna Sea) They have a great voice in my opinion. The songs are neat, and the beat sounds like what rock music beats are suppose to sound like. Very fast and loud!

Although I only heard Siam Shade for the first time late 2002 they are by far the greatest band I have ever heard. A week after I heard them I ordered their 10cd Boxset X-The Perfect Collection. It's a shame they have broken up. I am now collecting their Dvds and solo projects. Very expensive to obtain here in Australia but worth every cent! How can a band this good not be recognised outside Japan it's a ridiculous situation! Anyway I think theyre awesome!

I first heard about Siam Shade in 1999 and till now their music still rocks !!!
They are my fav J-rock band! They have a certain way of palying their music in the right tones! Not too heavy metal and not too pop based ^^. I first found about them when watching Anime and this compelled me to learn Japanese. They are a fantastic band and sad to say that they disbanded... But they will rule the J-rock scene to me! Thanks Siam Shade!! You rock!

Shiam shade is my first favorite japanese rock-band, i haven't listened all the songs of the group, the first song that i listened is "1/3 junjo no kanjou" on the "Rurouni Kenshin" serie and since then i started to look for more songs, right now i have that one, "tears i cried" "love vampire" and "glacial love".
Well, i am a guy from mexico and i have 16 years old, if any one wants to share song, opinions or simply respond this message, you can write me at: ulicloud@msn.com
I am a fan of various japanese stuff, specially the final fantasy saga (im the no. 1 fan in mexico!!)

Siam Shade is the best jap band i've ever heard.. especially with all the technicalities n stuff... coz i'm a progressive rock listener/player... i listen to people like Dream Theater... n they're style which is kinda "progressive grunge" is appealing! ^_^ Siam Shade rules mainstream music!

I'm a fan from Mexico, I heard this guys 4 years ago for the first time and I discover new rock sounds like never before.
My favorite Siam Shade's song is Kumori nochi hare, is a master piece, the most beautiful rock ballad I ever heard in Japanesse. I could never be bored about it!.

Siam Shade is one of the most artistic, creative and talented bands that Japan ever had.

I've tried to buy their discography, but is very difficult to find it in Mexico.
If someone know where I can find their CD's, please send me a e-mail:

Siam Shade is good! If you like them, you should listen to Gackt, L'arc~En~Ciel, Porno Grafitti, and maybe even The Yellow Monkey!

siam shade was the first j-rock band i've heard and i've loved them ever since!!! you can't go wrong with a band that keeps rocking in every song with wicked guitar solos!! in my honest opinion, i think they're better than ALOT of bands here in the US!! so sad they're not together anymore, but their music will always be a fav for me!!!!

When I first started to teach myself japanese, I started to learn by their music because I am so musically inclined. The first time I heard Siam Shade, I loved it... but I didn't appreciate it as much now that I'm a guitarist/drummer/singer. It's not just good music; it's great talent! I sure do hope that they continue to make music their own separate ways. It'll be interesting to see how they grow...
I believe Junji ranks up there with the top drummers here like Niel Peart, Mike Portnoy, Terry Bozzio, John Bonham... I think Junji is better! Doesn't need a humongous set to make the great harmonic and sound and precision of the rhythm of the bass... so simple and yet so talented... and whoever said that Natin isn't the best...? I think he's better to know that you can't solo bass every song.. he does a WONDERFUL job with the bass... not too much, not too little... JUST RIGHT. Daita is a great guitarist, and he knows his stuff... but you can always tell when it's him. He isn't extremely diverse in the scales he uses in most of his songs. Kazuma is, of course, the underdog... okay vocals, okay rhythm'n...wouldn't be the same without him... and Hideki; that man has a nice range! It's interesting to know that he's a guitarist/drummer/singer like I am... and he knows english (albeit terrible, just like my japanese...) -- the only one I don't see going anywhere in particular is Kazuma... he'll probably be back up or a minor lead like Richie Sambora in Bon Jovi...

SIAM SHADE is the best!!! I really don't understand why they are not popular in Japan!!?? anyway they are my hero forever.......
SIAM SHADE NEVER END !!!!!

>>By Out sider   (Sunday, 20 Apr 2003 11:34)

Either way I am a nuts or Siam Shades is - indeed - one of the best feeling-filled band in the world. I'm the sort of person who can listen to the same song (provided it's a masterpiece such as "Tears I cried" or "Blurry Eyes") over and over and over and... well you got it.

Shamefully, It's hard to have more than mp3 where Iive (Brazil); despite the sizable asian colonies, it's almost impossible to get the hands on a single cd (except, maybe, through Amazon and the likes).

Wahh, another disbanded one; guess I'm bound to live in ever-lasting nostalgy

I'm Agi Rihardian from Bogor, Indonesia. Siam Shade lingers and will keep on lingering in my heart forever. Their music is touching, encouraging, and they have been giving me such great influences in my life. Ever since i heard them i become so spiritful yet so enjoyed the-real-rock-harmony. It's terribly bad bad bad that they have disbanded. I guess they're peerless, no other band that can overtake their place in my heart. They're the best J-Rock band ever! By the way, i'm a guitarist in my band and we perform SIAM SHADE's songs, like "1/3 no junjou na kanjou (1/3 True Feelings)", "Rain", "Life", "Love",etc.

My reccomendation for you guys who wants to listen their music are:
-"Rain", "1/3....", "TIME'S" for extra supply of adrenaline to pump up your spirit!
-"Life" when you feel sad (this one is touching and kinda moppish-screamy on vocals, and the guitars are just peeling your soul with very nice harmony. you'll like it!)
-"Love" this one is for your lover!
please send an email to me:
captain_agi@yahoo.com
i'll be waiting for your email, bye and have a nice days!

Siam Shade is really cool. I've heard of them from Rurouni Kenshin which is one of my favorite animes. I never really liked them until I heard their song, "Tears I Cried". It's so rhythmic. To tell you the truth, I started listening to them just now. And I mean this day.

I only heard about Siam Shade last night. I loved their music. I've listened to as much J-pop/rock as I've been able to get my hands on, and I have to say Siam Shade are one of the most talented I've ever heard. These guys actually know how to play.
(My absolute favorite though is Gackt, he has a very special place in my heart, and his voice is amazing.)
But why aren't there any pictures of them out there? Are they like really ugly or something?
