One of the great undiscovered bands from the UK, a subtle balance of power and calm, melody and beautiful lyrics. The new album, Melting In The Fullness of Time is, surprisingly, one of their best ever. Available from their web-site.

One of my all time favorites. First heard in 1994 and couldn't believe O have never heard of them. In the same league with early U2.

I like very much this band since I discovered "Man of Straw" (a revelation!) in 1985. Best tracks for my opinion: In flux, 50/50, Alice, Imagination, My heart's on fire, House of clouds, Vendetta, My hert's on fire. Scusate il mio inglese maccheronico ma questa lingua l'ho imparata grazie alla colonizzazione culturale inglese impartitaci dal grande rock! Mandi!

I'm a friend of Simon's, I'm sure all you fans know he's the lead singer.
I'm thinking of doing a remix of one of their tracks. Any ideas on how their style could be modified without losing the qualities you like.

I have enjoyed the great performance of Sad Lovers in Rome (Blackout, March 2003). But they don't plough "Man of straw", the best song. Comunque...grandi!!!

I was in Rome for this concert and it was fantasic! My best part was the song Things We Never Did where we all sing the saxophone melody!!! I too missed Man Of Straw, but they payed In Flux, Alaska, Seven Kinds of Sinn (which they made unplugged!!!!!), Imagionation and many more favourites. Please bring them back soon Blackout Club!!!!

On 1998 a greek friend (Yannis) gave me a tape with two songs ("Alice" and "Clint") that I liked so much. I was at the show in Mestre on 29/3. Great, a very good concert. I lost my voice. Special thanks to Tony for the sign. If you give me your e-mail I can send you some photo. The next time you come in Italy, please, play "Alice" too (it's my favourite song, it really opens the heart...). Grazie ancora! - Lorenzo

En verano vienen a ESPAÑA. Sin duda uno de sus países fetiche. Estoy deseando la confirmación de las fechas y los lugares. Todo un gran sueño convertido en realidad

One of the best bands I've ever heard. It has always amazed me that you hear so little about this band. Then again, many great bands of the early eighties went unheard of.

...fearing they won´t play here...

To Ole who is thinking about doing a remix of one of SLAGS tracks, why not do Imagination in a Royksopp style with a hint of trance and string it out to about 12 minutes.
Must go, that naughty lodgekeeper needs his medicine.
