Rudimentary Peni

Forum

Rudi Peni has got to be one of the best punk bands ever to raise a filthy profane english fist in the face of mainstream society. Nick Blinko' book and not to forget to mention a 3 man punk band is an incredible feat especially while being a schizophrenic!

Even if Blinko was reading the fucking phone book, thjs would still be the most intense, precise, hardcore music ever made.

Rudimentary Peni made the most uniquly intelegent music and penned some of the most relevent words at the point of the 1st 2 eps for the early half of the 80's challenging inequalities in gender, age , social class and moral ethics etc.. All the albums are superb i have not yet heard Pope Adrian ... The artistic content is very real yet completely unreal- this sort of music was made by people who gave not a fuck about acceptance and the art of producing such work was never compromised by trivial music biz matters. For any one who has a good level of self understanding and awareness a social conscience and self conscience with a court room in there own mind and contempt and distain for ignorance and humanity dare i say people, for anyone who has experienced social exclusion and enjoyed it, for any one who can confidently think and live for oneself, for anyone who loves to be alone understands that and understands that to give oneself over and have faith in any one else but your self will sap yor dignity strength and self respect. For those who snere and laugh at other peoples tiny self important little existences and there pitifully embarrassing little egos. In other words not for that many people....this work is of high quality and is untouchable, these people have souls that make most look pathetic...great work

i was swung around by my ambilical cord and was stabbed with a spoon. my toung was ripped out of my mouth and sliced into tiny cubes. later it was served to the child who was wondering the whole time why i couldnt talk. mother poured bleaching chemicals into my glass. my insides where detiorating as my eyes shrivled into raisons.... all because i said i hated her. i hate the human race.

You can get the song dystopia covered ( cosmetic plague) off of the eps of r.p. And im pretty sure you can get death church off of headline records, they have everything concerning punk. Just wanted to add that pope adrian was the 1st english pope in office and nick thought that he would become the pope and they would name him adrian.
P.S Nick also planted his art hoping it would grow...this guys my hero!!!

rudimentary peni put meaning into music. they remind you of the potential that music has, and how much it can affect you, swing your head around 360 degrees and send shivers down your spine. they make every other pissy little oi boy punk band seem like dickless wankers.
i know i'm being gushy, but they really are fucking brilliant, especially cacophony.

Rudimentary Peni (Rudi) got me through my time of darkness, "as the skull of James Dean haunts the dream of a teen". Rudi is still an influence in my musical concious 10yrs after my first encounter. RP for the Ep is still my all time favorite. But death church showed me a different side to life. After death church, volience and reckless abandon seemed ill-evolved and I had to look at the way I was representing my beliefs. Punk Rock became a spiritual awakening and rebellion become an art. I've found the system to be very happy with our state of outward rebellion. Exposure is a terrible thing. There are those who are chosen to speak the truth and those who can handle work. If I confused you, good!

As we question the establishment and see the faults of men, we begin to associate the spirit with the minds of men and begin to blame the spirit for our poor interpretation of it's truths. "Holy matramony is a blissful myth" only if as tradition, not in it's truth...

Looking for a Guitarist, w/ Rudi influence, In Los Angeles Area, there is a catch! Members of this band are not as they seem... We don't hate God, we hate the establishments that represent God with Greed, Hipocracy, and Lies! I'll look for your reply here! I'll give you a contact later.
