olde brit empire based rebel tunes....reminisincent of wolfetones " botnay bay"..

the lyrics are like this..." " i once had a had a cousin called arthur mcmide, we once took a trip down the seaside.........."...rockin!!!!!

that song is called arthur mcbride, it's an old traditional song, i think. i've heard a lot of singers do it. tha albums are hard to find, and expensive when you can find them. in fact, i don't have any (the ex wife's got 'em). downloading may be your best bet

Planxty have just reformed and played a set of reunion gigs in Ireland. They have also released a new live DVD and CD from the gigs, great stuff. They even played Arthur Mc Bride too. They also plan more gigs in 2005.............don't miss them.

For a great site that seems to be on the case and updated regular, check out this site
http://www.chinatogalway.com/

it covers mainly Andy Irvine of Planxty and not an official one ( though they are usually better ) but there is alot of Planxty stuff in there too.
