I know Eric, who was their drummer. He started another band and was playing guitar for awhile. Last time a talked to him a year or so ago he was out of the music business altogether. Not sure what happened to the rest of the band.

After OLW broke up, the following related bands were formed:

The Shods (singer, guitar player=Kevin Stevenson, original OLW guitar player,Eric's brother)
Clash/Stones-influenced roots rock and roll.

Hank Crane (Eric Stevenson, Craig SIlverman)
Straight up country.

Miltown (Jonah Jenkins)
called "emo"...really just like a more melodic, more punk, less heavy version of OLW.

Shame they broke up. I've had Innocents for years and I still jam to it to this day. They had such a heavy groove that was hard to describe. One of the few bands that that I really wish they were still around.

The first time i heard the opening riff to "Prone mortal..." off the self titled Cd, i was completely blown away. Then that voice kicks in and its like this is how metal should sound! These guys didn't need DJ's and samples to create something unique. I wish they would do a reunion show and get the "FSU" boys out of retirement! Amazing band---that should have been huge!

So then Miltown broke up.... Anybody know what Jonah is doing these days? He has such an amazing voice, it shouldn't be wasted.

I was in the band. My real name is Kevin Stevenson. The shods is my band, and I wouldn't say we sound like the stones (although I love them!) I'd say more like the Jam and other punk rock outfits. Eric Stevenson (my brother) was in the amazing Hank Crane. Not a straight up country band at all (no offense Jonah), but a very clever early alt country band. Awesome! Craig Silverman was in the Shods as well. As far as Chris Crowley is concerned I think he dropped out of music entirely.

I don't know how outdated this forum is, but TWO members of OLW have posted here, so I figured I'd give it a shot. I just wanted to say that Innocence (even after 6+ years of rotation in my cd player) is still my favorite album, hands down. I still get chills everytime I hear it. I know the album stayed pretty much under the radar and didn't get much attention, but don't think for a second that has any bearing on how good the record is. I'd rather lose my right hand than my copy of Innocence, and for the chance to see OLW live, I'd sell my soul

most underrated boston band EVER.

Unfortunately, it's always the great bands who break up. Only Living Witness, Last Crack, Anacrusis...I can go on.

anybody out there remember, or better yet, have a copy of the music video OLW made right after prone mortal form got released? i think some of it was shot in the south end, but the part with the cab was shot behind lansdowne street by the old town taxi garage, and backside of fenway. i was the cab driver. i had a copy, but my ex trashed it years ago. any info would be cool. i have tracked down a copy of prone, it should be showing up in the mail soon. once i crank it i might get a few flashbacks and maybe i can come up with a few more details. thanks.
