Hi I come from Singapore and we are often overlooked as a nerdy country. Well sure, its hard to find a metalhead like me here :D. Anyway i think Tony Laureno is one of the most talented drummers around these days in the death metal scene. Not many people know about Nile but its nice to hear metal and learn stuff at the same time! Please come to Singapore!

It's 7/10/03, and i heard Nile for the first time about three months ago.
My fucking mouth dropped open. They are definatly making a dent in the death metal scene.

NIle rules the combination of the dark egyptian mellodies and the satanic voice that stands out as Nile's own is one reason why it is a great metal band and frogpoo you suck Gohan Blood Bather your absolutly right Unas Slayer of the Gods is an great song

Wow. I mean Nile isn't just death metal. To me they are progressive music because each album gets better and shows them grow as musicians and artists. I love the stories and chants on their albums and their drummers are my favorite out of any genre. Drummer Tony Laureano is just unreal. I'd say by any album from them but In Their Darkened Shrines has the most music on it for the $$$ you'll pay. Truly Epic album!

I bought a Nile album and I have to admit I was very disappointed. Perhaps I just don't like pure Death Metal enough to appreciate it.

Really great band, they are showing the world that the usual quite boring death-metal genre can be very complex and inventive. Great songs, with fantastic complex rhythms and strange epic melodies. They succesfully managed to dig up the dark atmosphere of an ancient pyramide. HAIL these powerfull warriors of intelligent death-metal.

If you like Nile, I suggest you check out, if you haven't already, Brutal Truth and Nasum. Same complex but awesome riffage. If you like really complex, go for Dillinger Escape Plan and Pig Destroyer! Total mayhem, but with feeling!
