they are so amazing, and their music videos are even better they really emphasis the point. in I'm okay in the beginning someone throws food at frank. who would do that? i love them all and cant wait to see them at warped

>>By InsanePinkJello   (Friday, 17 Jun 2005 17:15)

I love the video for "I'm Not Okay" ... the first and second version. Mainly the first because it gives you a serious look into their lives. The second is awesome as well just because of the story line that goes through it ending with that fight. I love the beginning too, when Gerard and Ray are talking.

"You like D&D, Audrey Hepburn, Fangoria, Harry Houdini, and croquet. You can't swim, you can't dance, and you don't know karate. Face it, you're never gonna make it."

>>By Wednesday   (Sunday, 19 Jun 2005 02:47)

" i dont wanna make it... i just wanna..."

then it goes into the song <33

is it just me or does every my chemical romance song either make you wanna dance...or sing with a mop (clening thinggy)... or do both at the same time...

heehee i love them...and in novermber i get to see them for my second time <3
*sigh*... its gonna kik bum :-D

love to you all

Hah, their music definitely does make you want to sing along ... I've seen them like 5 times now, no lie. I love them so much!! Haha.

>>By Wednesday   (Wednesday, 22 Jun 2005 23:49)

never wanted 2 dance with a mop 2 them but every single person on here is right...my chemical romance rock!!!!!
I saw them in concert at easter and i'm seeing them again at Reading, can't wait, they put on one of the best shows i have ever seen (altho I still think HIM were better)
love the songs, love the videos, love Gerard Way...not so keen on the new haircut tho, does anyone else think he's trying to look like billie joe from Green Day or is that just me?

>>By fish4ever   (Thursday, 23 Jun 2005 19:38)

New hair cut? Didn't see it ... did he chop it all off or something? I'd be sad if he did.

But if he still looks the way he did in the "Helena" music video I don't think he's trying to copy Billie Joe. Gerard has always had that make-uped look while Billie Joe just sort of started getting into that stuff with the release of American Idiot. I mean, I saw MCR before they got famous at a show in Jersey and he was dressed and everything the same way, so I think he's him!!

>>By Wednesday   (Thursday, 23 Jun 2005 19:49)

Ah ... I just found a picture of Gerard on their website and I'm quite depressed now ... all his beautiful hair ... gone ... how shall I go on!?! Oh well, I still don't think he was/is trying to copy Billie Joe. He's still sexy too, haha!!

>>By Wednesday   (Friday, 24 Jun 2005 04:05)

y is everyone cutting their hair at the mo? Ville, Gerard...ok well just two but still. Gerard better grow it back, he's always sexy but waaaaaaaaaayyyyy prefer him with long hair.

and i did mean the haircut not the makeup, i kno MCR have always done that.

>>By fish4ever   (Friday, 24 Jun 2005 12:46)

I know ... he better get that hair back, it's definitely better long.

>>By Wednesday   (Saturday, 25 Jun 2005 00:31)

mcr is even more amazing live..

>>By bigdorkface   (Sunday, 17 Jul 2005 22:16)

mh.. i think they get a bit boring after some time...

>>By alibabi   (Monday, 18 Jul 2005 00:09)

The video for "The Ghost of You" is out on MTV.com and the way I hear it, you'll be able to see "the Making of" on MTV2, if you have it.

Personally, I love the video. The whole style of it just rocks. The WW2 thing is great. I love their hair, the 40's slicked back hair is very hot on all of the guys. I was just a little saddened that they picked "The Ghost of You" as their next single. I would have kind of liked to see "Give 'Em Hell, Kid" or "To The End" in music video form. Oh well, still love the new video!!

>>By Wednesday   (Monday, 5 Sep 2005 05:22)

i love mcr. their song you know what they do to guys like us in prison so fricken awesome!!!! at warped tour i saw them, and it was completely packed. they had a bigger crowed then the offspring, which i thought was amazing. they have come such a long way.

>>By playfulhoneybee   (Monday, 5 Sep 2005 19:57)

The video for "The Ghost of You" really is fantastic.

But they spent over $400,000 on it apparently...

>>By Bitch Fit   (Friday, 9 Sep 2005 19:30)

$400,000 isn't that bad compaired to what some other videos cost, especially since "The Ghost of You" is way better than most of those other vidoes. But thats just my opinion.

>>By Wednesday   (Sunday, 11 Sep 2005 21:37)

hahaha my friend won gerards smelly trainers in the kerrang competition, she has them on a wall

>>By scarletnikki   (Tuesday, 11 Oct 2005 14:56)

What a load of unbelievable rubbish they are - and even without taking that into account, it's unbelievable that Gerard Way is even more arrogant than Dani Filth... they're such utter sell-outs, but why do you buy it?! It's just marketable rubbish like Good Charlotte only even more annoying coz at least GC aren't so arrogant

>>By Sk8a H8a   (Tuesday, 11 Oct 2005 17:49)

Sk8a H8a ... I usually agree with you on music topics, but this one I've got to disagree, thats your opinion and its cool with me, but I really like MCR. I saw some of their first shows back in their Murder Scene days and they're so real. They're not like GC at all. Of course you can trace elements of their style back to other bands and such, but who these days really is original? Theres so much talent in the Murder Scene and its nice to see one of them break out.

The guys might be arrogant, but they deserve to be! They all really worked through a lot to get where they are.

Whats up with all the Gerard Way bashing thats been going on lately anyway? In December's issue of Spin on the feed-back page theres 2 or 3 comments talking about how annoying they find him! Oh well, I still love you Gerard.

Yay for "Life on the Murder Scene" coming out! I haven't picked it up yet, but I'm heading for Times Square tomorrow, first thing when school lets out to pick it up and go watch!

And, as you all know, I'm a die-hard fan of Spin magazine. They made March's cover as the reader's poll favorite band. They also won best song for "Helena", best break out band, best live act, and took third for worst live act, best Spin cover for their June cover, and worst Spin cover for their June cover. Gerard also won the best dressed catagory and the Sex God catagory.

My Chem Rocks!!!! I really like both there first and second cds, and I really like Life on the Murder Scene. I can't wait to get the Black Parade!

>>By Cimorene   (Wednesday, 4 Oct 2006 21:40)

I was very worried that My Chem would let me down with their second publicly acclaimed record, "Welcome to the Black Parade." I was pleasantly astounded by Parade and it has become the number one staple in my music diet. To me, Black Parade, when listened to all the way through, reads like a great rock opera remniscent of the Beatles or Floyed. Unlike rock of the past, thought, MCR fills the songs with modern angst- "When I grow up, I want to be nothing I am!"

I think it's a shame that though they are highly recognized (thanks to Three Cheers), they are dubbed by music critics as some sort of snake charmer for 13 year old goth/emo kids, luring the pubescent masses deeper into their rage. I think that even though MCR has gotten the popularity it deserves, it still has yet to be acclaimed for their level of musical prowess.

In Parade, the back mixes rock, country (in a very catchy song called "Teenagers"), 50's style guitar rifts (Dead!), and, dare-I say, a dramatic element indicative of show tunes into 14 awesome tracks. I think it's time MCR should be allowed to break free of this teenage stigma and be seen for all they truly have to offer avid fans and novice listeners....music that just f*#@ing rocks!

Oh, and I saw them live in Dec (Tampa's Next Big Thing 6 concert) and yeah, way to go Gerard with the blonde make over. You've gone from attractive to drop dead! gorgeous.

>>By sebarwic   (Monday, 15 Jan 2007 15:27)

Meh, they're not my thing but I can get what the attraction is. Dissolussioned teens searching for something they can relate to so they don't feel alone or whatever. To be honest, this kind of music seems too whiney and contrived for me. Garage rock all the way!

>>By endless_nameless   (Thursday, 18 Jan 2007 00:43)

Can't wait to see them in november

>>By scarletnikki   (Monday, 29 Oct 2007 03:30)

anyone else going?

>>By scarletnikki   (Monday, 29 Oct 2007 20:21)

went to see them last night, and they were AMAZING .what a show! normally I am bored by the support acts, but mindless self indulgence were hilarious!

MCR came on to a fantastic show of pyrotechnics which lasted through the show,Gerard was energetic, charismatic ,and vocals were spot on.
