Mike Patton is blatently the man. He is amazing in Fantomas and Tomohawk too, but the first Mr Bungle album is my favorite. Dead Good, Stubb a Dub and Squeeze me Macaroni are my favorite songs. The stuff he did with the Dillinger Escape Plan is also really good. Mr Bungle is rather tasty>:{}
Throw a stick, bring it, back, throw up and die!!!

Ah, gotta be a bungle fan. To ask "to be a bungle fan or not to be", I'd gladly shoot the person who asked that. ;) BTW, WTF is so great about that statment in its original form?
Nevermind. I've got two Bungle Album, Disco Volante and the self titles one. Personally I find there'a hardly a song I full enjoy as a whole, but there is hardly any bandI know who is as crazy as bungle, which makes it a good enough reason to get his stuff, expecially if you're looking for wierd, original, provocative, musical mayham, and most of all, variety. Hehe. Metal to polka, to surf rock, to vocal throat wobbles and sounds of hands beating on a chest, often mixed in the same track, thats originality. Being able to tackle just about any musical form put in front of them does prove that the musicians are top noch. Doesn't everyone agree??
I'd guess most Bungle fans listen to other stuff, like Primus, Secret Chiefs 3, Fantomas n stuff, but definately do check out the less known Ruins. They are crazier and heavier than Primus, and have that Bungle feel to it, althought their music is not as varied. Vocals are more just sounds than actual words in a real language, so definately wacky. Go check it out folks.
Check my post on the Primus site (look for my name) on the first page

Now the real test for a band like this is... Can they do all this LIVE????? Well, I saw the California tour show in montreal, and I just couldn't believe my ears!!!! They play it all, down to the last screech, to the last saxophone warble... overwhelming! They really ARE gods! I will never be the same again...Thanx Uncle Bungle!

Hmm, no one has typed anything about Mr Bungle for ages; not surprisingly as they have forever left the stage... but still, i just wanted to say how much i loved their way of doing things, and they have influenced my creative splutterings immensely.
