moloko means "milk" in russian..that's right, but i think that they call themselfs moloko becouse of book clockwork orange........great book too....

>>By martina   (Tuesday, 13 May 2003 20:34)

True about the name, Martina. It is from Clockwork orange and is more related to drugs (as it first seems). They sound great but talk about fucked-up lyrics!

>>By Zeratul   (Tuesday, 13 May 2003 23:42)

they do not have fucked up lyrics at all, they are really cool if you listen carefully, they make perfect sense even though they are totally contradictory....killabunny is my fave song cos i hate rabbits, they are so evil and twisted....ah i love moloko..

...and, her name isn't Martina, her real name is Roisin, here is another site that should help a lot: http://www.absentmindedfans.pl/

I wonder, can anyone inform me about this band's past?

>>By hollander   (Saturday, 18 Oct 2003 23:15)

I hear many influences form the past, like Todd Rundgren, but also Bowie, Quicksilver Messengers Service and strangely hammond organs and other instruments that lost their place in the 80's when cold and uninteresting music replaced the warmth of real music.

Does anybody know who sings with Moloko on Somebody Somewhere from their album Things to make and Do? Cheers...
