Mink Deville aka Willy, is another one of the world's (New York's) neglected, yet in my view, true musical supertalents. Not knowing anything about him except from his tunes I can tell you he comes from a solid and real place. His music doesn't ride on the surface; it cuts right into your skin and works its way into your bloodstream. I used to listen to Willy in the seventies when only a handful of people in these parts knew who he was. I was curious to see if he had a presence on the internet and I'm delighted that he has, (although no home page). Rock on Willy! I'm glad you found a place in "that world Outside".

I have been a fan of Mink DeVille ever since I saw him on Saturday Night Live in 1975. I wish he would perform more in NYC.

I have seen Mink DeVille the first time in Rotterdam (de Doelen) live, after that time in Utrecht (Vredenburg). His perfom was every time very good. Willie thank you for the music!!!!!

YEAH, HE STILL TOURS.
I JUST SAW HIM LAST WEEK (5/9/03) AT A TINY CLUB IN THE VILLAGE. HE ALSO DID 2 SHOWS IN THE CITY IN FEBRUARY.
I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE HE GOES FROM HERE...BUT KEEP YOUR EYES PEELED.

I saw Mink DeVille in the mid-eighties in San Jose, California playing at a small venue. He was meserizing - but the young girl that I was were more interested in his junkie persona than his music. Wondering if he's still using???
