1) Avalanche can be played on the computer Justin, you jackass. Use Media Player or Winamp. There's 2 separtate files on the cd, audio files and hosam.exe...you just have to open the audio files into one of the aforementioned programs. Your problem solving skills are shit.

2) Matt does not read these posts.

saw the show last night. it was *amazing*. i am not an INTENSE fan, just really impressed with the show and what MG has got to say. especially enjoyed the version of 21st Century Living. MG's 'asshole with a cause' attitude is quite refreshing and thought provoking- almost a source of inspiration.

Matt Good will always remain the best artist out there [in my eyes at least]. His music is real and actually has something to say rather then the majority of the crap out there. His work has helped me expand my own ideas and help with my artwork, hence one of the titles of my work "locked in a house of my invention" - Thanks Matt. Whenever I look for inspiration, or the need to just sit back and reflect I throw in some of his tunes. I really appreciated his avalanche release and the effort he put out, but have I ever been disappointed by his work? no. Recently I've been digging into his demo's as well and I've discovered some inspirational tunes, such as "casual walks" "waiting for the great destruction" and "whispering in the dark". I suggest all MG fans that haven't checked out this work to do it. I'm out to see him in Hamilton April 12th, I'm sure I wont be disappointed.

waiting for the lights to change, the lies they learn to rearrange the truth they hold to exchange and it carries me down second hand to the greater fear these words of promise disappear so I wrote them down to make it appear but nothing is what I found - MG Waiting for the Great Destruction

Enough about how good he is how about how he can be bad. His previous work before MGB sucked. Terrible. And most of the Last of the Ghetto Astronauts was pretty bad. Everything else is really good. No pun intended.

Matt is my savior. i was diagnosed with bipolar disorder and wenever i get manic i blast his tunes on my stereo and it gets me thru. It must suck to be so smart and to be the only one who sees the world the way he does. his music is deep and i love the dark mood he makes thru the lyrics. if i was to ever meet him i would give him a hug and a kiss and then i would kill myself because he is what i live for.

Prime Time delieverance is one of the greatest. Also the Fall of Man, change of season, the bombmaker (why is it not on an album?) flashdance 2, my life as a circus clown is especially good. Is Weapon (also amazing) off their new album?

Does anyone know what the song "Running for Home" means? I have listened to alot of Matthew Good's stuff and I am completly dumb-founded. He's an amazing lyricist, but this is completly not like his other stuff. If you do, please email me at gotta_luv_her@hotmail.com. Have Matt Good as the subject. Thanks alot.

I can't really explain what it is about Matt Good that keeps me wanting to listen to his music maybe its the way he sings his lyrics and everything but whatever it is really addictive and i love it. His music is so much different than all other bands. He actually makes a point in each of his songs and sings about something worth listenting to and doesn't just ramble on about stuff not worth listening to. And the background music is really cool it's different than other rock bands.

I know exactly what you mean LOTGA - about his music being addictive. My friend Rob is obssessive about MGB and he basically lent me some CDs, and i was completely blown away. My favourite band before was the Chili Peppers - another amazing band who haven't become commercialised sell outs to corporate bigwigs inspite of the atmosphere of the music industry around them. But I havent listened to the Chilis properly for about a month and a half, i just cant stop listening to MGB. Matt Good has the most incredible, beauitful voice - when i listened for the first time i just couldnt believe id never heard this stuff before, i was like why hasnt this music become world famous, it is so incredibly beauitful.

Today I have had one of the worst days of my life, and ive basically been sitting in my room at my boarding school playing "fated" on repeat over and over and over and crying and i can safely say it is one of the most incredibly, painfully, achingly sad and beauitful songs i have ever heard. I really wish i could find something to stop all the damn "traffic jams" in my head... Matt Good is helping me thru a whole load of crap at the moment,
The music that he makes, that;s what the world needs - instead of wasting our time on crap like Gareth Gates and Holly Valance. His music is so intense, it makes me feel this welling, aching sadness inside. One of the most intense, astonishing lyrics I have heard is that bit at the end of "A boy and his machine gun" - ie. "fuck you and your principles, fuck whatever made me.... etc etc" It gives me goosebumps, especially after the "no ones come" bit that just makes you want to cry with abandon. This is what music should be about, such passion and emotion and fire, its such an antidote to the stangnating shit that's around right now. Matt, we love you. :-D
