I have seen Martin 4 times,twice at Preston,once at the barbican and once at Morecambe.I have many rarieties such as test pressings and I got a lot of stuff autographed. I actually created one myself when I recorded his version of A Long Time Ago at Preston which he told me was going to be on the Lilac Tree but it came out on the next one.
As I am a huge fan of Virginia Astley I thought it was great that he should be the first to do a cover of one of her songs.
I made Martin a copy of the tape with a special sleeve and he autographed my own copy.
Martin knows me as Deke Rivers,the name I used on Virginia Astley business.The Family Cat is a user name I took a year ago after the now defunct rock band
