I known about Manu since the begginings of Mano Negra , Even if his music is not as popular in the states it is very well known in the underground of Latin America and Europe . His influence in the latin alternative culture has touched many bands . Maldita Vecindad , Cafe Tacuba , Todos tus Muertos and many other latin bands have admited to been influenced by the music of Manu Chao . He is truely an artist and has proved it by remaining true to his vision and making his art into music . Im truely happy that there are still people like him that not only believe but also follow their dreams no matter what .

Manu Chao's music is the most optimistic music on this planet and his concerts are so energiezed that you'll remember that good feeling for lifetime.Especially the concert in Macedonia in june2002 was something nobody in my country will forget.

Has anyone hear that song called: cannabis, or something like that?

Manu's fusion of dancehall, latin beats, and a DIY attitude has made him a seminal artist in the music scenes of central/south America as well as the rest of the world. We need more artists like him.

I was a big fan of Mano Negra while they were still together. I think I was the only person in H.S. that knew about this crazy band of immigrants in France. While Manu was in Mano Negra I never thought of him as a great singer or songwriter, but it's incredible what he has accomplished ever since Clandestino came out. The title song of his first album has become an anthem for thousands and thousands of immigrant workers and their families who have to abandon their places of origin to look for a better way of living, in America and in Europe.
