In April 2003, I will have the chance to perform a Canadian Premiere of the "original" version of the Misa Tango (for baritone, mezzo, bandoneon, orchestra and chorus) in Ottawa with the Choeur Classique de l'Outaouais...

Mr. Bacalov's Misa Tango is a gem in itself... it is very lyrical and sensual... I feel fortunate that such beauty exists and mostly that it will be shared with Canada.

If anyone who reads this, doesn't know the Misa Tango... please rush to the store and get a copy. It is breathtaking...

Thank you Mr. Bacalov for writing such beautiful music... and it his my honor to sing your music!!!

He was among my best & dearest friend in Argentina during our teen and youth years. My friends, I and everybody else knew that Bacalov was a genius. After he left Argentina, I lost touch wiht him
completely. I never forgot him. Few days ago, after listening Tango Misa in the radio, I went to the store to buy the CD.

I alwas wanted to send Luis my regards, but couldn't find an address.
How can I get his e-mail address?

Has the score of MISA TANGO been published, perhaps a piano reduction for rehearsal? If so who sells it in Italy ? Can anyone help ?
Thanks !!

Here are my answers to the 2 questions above. First, I don't have any personnal contacts with Signore Bacalov... but since, the Choeur Classique de l'Outaouais has performed a concert last April... maybe they could help you with a contact. Check their Website: www.choeurclassique.tripod.com (and they do have an English Version) - Good Luck to you! :) And for the other question, I don't think that the score has been published since for the Concert, we had photocopied scores (and yes, they were piano reductions) but they came from the composer's office or agency... I know is that he lives in Rome, Italy... but that's about it, as a present situation...

Thanks... but if you have any questions, let me know...

Ciao,
