we are looking for a LP of Link Wray....just called Link Wray...with songs called Ice Man and Colored People...etc. It came out around 1972-73. Anybody know where we can purchase this classic?

The song is Ice People.I believe the entire Link Wray album is included on the compilation titled Mr Guitar.The compilation is available on a few of the web sites linked to various link sites.

I tell my fellow heavy metal lovers that I heard the first heavy metal done and the year was 1958. The artist was Link Wray!!! To me, Link will always be the father of heavy metal.

sick repulsive electric twanger. His playing leaves me with no desire to listen to any guitar player who doesn't sound like they've been hit on the head with a big hammer and woke up brain damaged in a graveyard.
