Last Emperor

Forum

Last emperor is one of the most innovative m.c.'s out right now and he is only challenged by two others del the funky homosapien and Mr.Lif

>>By c-cuz   (Friday, 13 Dec 2002 05:26)

no one compares to the last emperor lyrically, it's thats simple, ........keep yer ears peeled, music fans......i warned you!

>>By rez omegalon   (Wednesday, 19 Feb 2003 10:26)

The Last Emperor is by far the illest lyricist out there as he demonstartes in his jam "Secret Wars." He's got a lot of underground music out there if you look right but I hope it gets easieer to find.

I RHYME MY SELF, AND FROM MY KNOWLEDGE OF RHYMING . . . THE LAST EMP IS NICE AS HELL, WHY? BECAUSE HE KEEPS IT REAL AND BUMMY INSTEAD OF FAKE AND PRETENDING HE GOT MAD MONEY AND WHERE IM FROM AND THE CATS I CHILL WIT, THATS WHAT WE RESPECT AS A RHYMER. BESIDES THE FACT THAT HIS LYRICAL CONTENT IS NOT FROM THIS WORLD. HE'S DOPE

Last Emperor has overthrown KRS-ONE as the king on my "ill rapper" list. He's unbelievably. He's a Kobe Bryant that noone knows about. I don't understand how someone could be that good.

>>By Kwest   (Friday, 14 Mar 2003 06:39)

hes so damn good and yet he doesnt have an album, im waiting to support him, i want to so bad. LAST EMP COME OUT WITH AN ALBUM AND ILL BUY IT, ILL GO TO UR SHOWS, RELEASE TO THE WORLD!

>>By hendrixfr   (Monday, 7 Apr 2003 02:16)

last emperor iis no doubt ill but there are alot that compare to him such as del, vinnie paz, king soloman and so many more. theres no point in comparing mc's because hip hop is not about judging eachother it's about real mcs joining together like a community in the form of respect and u shouldn't judge unless u have respect. all in all last emperor needs to drop and album.

>>By TaCt1c5   (Monday, 14 Apr 2003 15:00)

The last emp is not a rapper is an artist who deliver his message thru hip hopping
i never heard a rapper dropes such NICE rhymes and mad tunes and song concepts his the hudini of hip hop i wanna see a picture of the dude and put it in a temple .....
The last emporer is the the real hip hop.....

>>By Ty-Chi   (Friday, 16 May 2003 16:55)

yo, last emp is mos def the illest ,point blank.Talk about keeping it reel , the reason you cant find an album is because he wont sell art he dropped a single off rawkus with coco b "the banger" and word thats what it is!!!! Fom charlie brown to jungle cats his imagination gets better everytime. If you listen to this kid he tells why he wont sell his music. Rawkus finnaly got him to put some shit down! Yet when rawkus got bought out he jetted .. Yo last emp props for that!!!! Keep real hip hop on that level!!!! songs to check from this cat, MY PRIVATE PARADISE, SECRET WARS ,ECHO LEADER. My banger he does is CARAVAN thats a chill ass song
thanx last emp youre still my rhyming hero..

the last emperor is the best rapper out and no one has ever heard of him. i didn't even listen to rap when i heard of this guy. i'm a big rage against the machine fan and i heard him in the song c.i.a. he did with zach de la rocha and krs-one and i was totallly blown away. he singlehandedly turned a metalhead white boy into a rap fan. i can't get enough of last emp. i love the way he talks about the real stuff in life- "develop close ties like jerry seinfeld and george costanza". i mean come on, that is great stuff. i would rather hear somebody rap about seinfeld and comic book characters (secret wars) that talk about how much money he's got or how many bitches he's got. last emperor quit teasing us already and let's hear your album! stay cool with zach de la rocha, ya'll make an ill combination.

Last Emp is my exemple, how to keep it real, his tours are great, and his album is 'BANGIN" and I also keep looking for Susie Wong..

Peace

>>By MegaDemus   (Tuesday, 24 Jun 2003 06:02)

f'reals c-cuz....lif, emp, and del would be a mad battle of all battles..maybe all three should team up with the automator or prince paul....i don't think a disc like that would ever leave any cd player i own

THE LAST EMPEROR'S DEBUT LP -MUSIC, MAGIC, MYTH- IN STORES AUGUST 26th

Hit up www.raptivism.com for all the details, audio previews and the tracklisting.

Listening to The Last Emperor's music I downloaded off Napster has provoked me to challenge myself in writing more-erudite lyrics with more-complex rhyme schemes. I mean his Secret Wars Part One is phenomenal. The mental effort to produce such a flawless piece and his equally notable delivery--exemplify the 'Emp's intellectual and physical prowress in the hip hop realm.
After typing a few of his songs at www.ohhla.com, I tried to emulate his style. But now I see that his lyricality is but a beacon for one to discover one's own lyrical self. Last Emperor--I thank you. You will always be the 'lyrical maharajah.'

"There's only one" would say BustaRhymes but I'd rather claim: there's only one fucking rapper who's able to write a song like Secret Wars. His name's THE LAST EMPEROR.
Thanks. Your rhymes are incredible! Keep writing intelligent and funny lyrics. American rap has become wrong, rotten..............commercial.

The Last Emp. introduced me to the underground. He's, by far, one of the dopest and most comical emcees to date. The last emp., Aesop, Can Ox, and The Grouch should do a comp. song together. Only if i had a caravan?..........wurd.

The Last Emp is the most positive rapper out there I think if kids would listen to this type of artist that thay woulsd have a more positive outlook on life because we all can relate.

>>By Just_one   (Saturday, 19 Jul 2003 13:19)

TO ALL ILLADELPH
HIP HOP HEADS:

*Tired of commercialized rap? Fed up with “bling bling?” Heard enough of brothers
trying to be “thug niggas” and sisters wanting to be “gangsta bitches?”

*I know you are, and I know you appreciate real lyricism as manifested in tight flows, oral
dexterity, off-the-head freestyling, battle rhyming, skillful writing, and creative head-
noddin’ beats- all with a culturally conscious foundation.

*And I know you understand that in order for the lyricism to be serious, then that lyricism-
as expressed originally and primarily by Black/Brown skinned youth or Black/Brown
thinking youth- must be based on experience, talent, and respect for the Hip Hop
originators who started this shit.

*If you’re down with this kind of lyricism (as well as with the deejay, the breaker, and the
graf writer, etc.), then sign up for the HIP HOP 101 course at Temple University’s Pan
African Studies Community Education Program. In the course, we will start with
the history of Hip Hop by giving much deserved and long overdue props to the
Bronx pioneers. We also will listen to, discuss, debate, and critique the works of such
verbal geniuses like Army of The Pharaohs- featuring Bahamadia, Chief Kamachi,
Jedi Mind Tricks w/ Ikon The Hologram aka Vinnie Paz, 7L & Esoteric, and
