i just came back from a trip to mexico city.df to go to my cousins wedding. I live in las vegas and im american.I listen to mainstream american music like most teenagers but i love all types of music.When i was watching mtv in mexico i saw the video of la oreja de van gogh" la playa". I found some sort of music that is totally different from the music over here in the usa.I love the fact im hispanic and most of the spanish music in the us is anothier words music that isn't listen to around latin america and south america.If there music was introuduced into a english version they would be sucessful but I hope they don't .I don't think we(americans) deserve the great musicans they are. I returned from mexico and i got both of there cds( in which i downloaded) and im very much in touch with there music and i hope the couple mexican/spanish/hispanic friends i have (for the fact that i dont like em cholos) will listen to them and get a great new taste in music .I wish all the best and i hope they go to mexico city for a concert so i can vist them.If they do come across this site and read this.My email is there and email me when your going to mexico city. because I will fly there and I will gladly go to your concert! I found out of La Oreja de Van Gogh when I was visiting my friends,and family in Guatemala. When I was watching MTV, and I had a friend that use to play there song every day. And that how I started liking there music. I like to listing to there music because it's nice and it reminds me of Guatemala.

La Oreja De Van Gogh is a great band. I love both of their cd's. They are original! I just wish they came around the US. I Hope to hear the latest album soon..keep up the good work!!!

I have a friend that lived in spain for quite a while. When he finally came back he showed me many things from his stay there. La oreja de van gogh was one of them. As soon as I listened to the music, I fell in love with her soothing voice. It brings such a peace to me. It's almost unexplainable. So I won't really try. But I feel very fortunate to have been exposed to this great band of musicians. Even though I don't really understand a word she says, its still great listening music. If I really wanted to I could have my friends translate for me, but I feel it would ruin it in some odd way.

It's similar than la playa and i like it a lot in fact in this videoclip appear a couple of old people as the videoclip of la playa

I know... they didn't make a new type of music... it's always the same!!
By the way... They're one of the best group here in Spain, their lyrics are so strongly, when you hear 'em always think in your own life... in all those stories about you, about your love, your troubles your own decissions that's the reason for LODVG is one of the best group here.
Their last album have a real personality... they're talking again about all of those things above... again I cried with some songs 'cause I remember myself.
I don't know well how I'd translate the title of their last album... it should be something like..." All those things that I told you when you are making sleep yourself "... and it's true. This album captured that moment when we are with our relationship in bed and the other are hearing us but still sleep. Just then we could be the real us.

Hello everybody!
La Oreja de Van Gogh is like totally the best band ever!!
People can really relate to most of their great-inspirational songs about how not to give up, how love is the best thing in the world, and how you shouldnt let anyone or anything hold you back from your true dreams.
I really love this group from the bottom of my heart. ALL of their songs are sooo good and just like all of you guys, I also recommend La Oreja de Van Gogh to anyone who is trying to find themselves in their uplifting
music, lyrics and the heavenly vocals that make up this awesome band!
I live in the US and truly hope that maybe one day they come over here ..but until they do, if they do, I'll go to Mexico and meet them there!

I heard of LODVG when I was in Guatemala. I heard the song cuidate, and then never paid much attention to them since. But the other day I was in Tower and saw their new album on a listening station, and listened to it, and fell in love with the first song, and now I'm addicted to their music. I want to go to Spain so that I can (of course visit Spain) and go to a concert. I'm jealous of you espanols that get to go to see them. I want to see them as much as I want to see Madonna, and that's huge.

I'M NOT A MEMBER OF LA OREJA DE VAN GOGH NOR AM IN ANYWAY ASSOCIATED WITH THEM, but since I'm also interested in
their music I was trying to find their official site
to find out some more information about them. I'm
Hispanic but was born here in the States and how I
found out about them was through visits to Ecuador
were my mothers relatives live(my dad's Mexicano). I
remembered seeing them on a music show over there and
listening to them while walking in a waterside mall
over there(seemed like a whole album). I really liked
them and sometimes on downtime when nothing was going
on I would just continue to keep my eyes peeled for an
interview that they would repeat of theirs and their
music video. Anyway the reason you gave an e-mail was
for the band to hopefully give a date in Mexico of
some sort. Well, I went to Pollstar to see if were
they were touring the US and they are appearing at a
fesitval of some sort in California. You can find out
about specifics in the Pollstar site. Just wanted to
be nice and help you out seeing as Nevada isn't to far
from California. Hope you're able to see them.

I first heard of La oreja de van gogh when i visited my friend in Colombia. When i heard it on the mtv i instantly liked their song. Since then i kept hearing their song on radio and mtv and i know im hooked. so i asked my friends the name of the band because i kept forgetting since im not fluent in spanish. my friend's sister gave me their album Lo Que Te Conté Mientras Te Hacías La Dormida and i was really hoped. Now im in UK i llistened to the album loads of times and it reminds me of the good times i had. Plus i love listening to the girl';s vocals

hi, just wanted to say that i love this band.......i'm from the uk, i currently live in mexico, but i m moving to spain in the next few weeks. I cant wait to see these guys in concert. I heard the cd just by chance and was instantly hooked, its 5.15 am actually, and i am listening to the in concert cd. i love mundo mejor and soledad, i just hope they dont realise a trashy english album like shakira did, and it sounded terible! all thats left to say is " ooh sha laa laa, oh sha la la.!" ciao

After years of listening to la Oreja in the background while visiting my family and friends in Spain, I finally decided to buy their latest album. Ever since I got it I've been listening to it non-stop. Their lyrics bring me back to some of the best times I have ever lived. I am not sure if this happens to me exclusively because of my Spanish upbringing, but I cannot possibly imagine that the outstanding sentiment that emanates from their melodies and lyrics would go unnoticed anywhere else in the world. I am anxiously looking for their next concert, wherever that may be. If you have any information about upcoming concerts in the US or in Spain, please let me know at david@miamiwinefair.com
