Actual name of the great atrist "KISHOR KUMAR" was Abhias Ganguly. As per my point of view, he is the best singer of sub-cotinent. His voice is so beautiful that none other than he has been gifted by the Almighty Allah. He is not only the best Singer but a very good actor with approx. 100 films as an actor. He was a very nice music director. For example, songs of the films Door Gagan ki Chhaon main, Jhumroo, Chalti ka naam Zindagi, Mamta ki Chhaon main, Door ka Rahi etc. are so beutiful & worth listening. He was a very good poet/lyricist, good director & a wonderful producer etc. etc. Other than this he was a very nice person. In small words "He is the unique one". I like him very much. I have a very big collection of his songs, films, photographs & articles.

I need Kishore Kumars film "Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Main".
If some one has this film with him then he is requested to inform me about his address. I will pay him the cost of film & other charges. I'll be very much grateful to him & will remember his kindness forever. Kindly inform at the earliest possible. Because I could not trace out this film I have searched all the main markets of Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi, Islamabad.

What a site dedicated to the one and only Kishore. But lets not forget that the Bollywood music industry is not made up of one singer but a group of them. Having said that, i cannot recall a moment when one play back singer said am better than the other. They were and are talented in their own respective voice. You cannot compare Rafi to Kishore nor vice versa. They were all great singers. There seems to exists alot of prejudice in regards to Rafi, mainly for the fact that he was a Muslim. But did you ever hear a moment when Kishore or Lata said: "I aint singing with Rafi cos his a Muslim." So, on that note, we all need to accept the fact that Rafi sang songs that were beyond comparison and Kishore sang songs that too were beyond comparison and the same for Lata, Asha, Mukesh, etc.

The great artist - Kishore Kumar's dance was worth seeing. For example, watch the songs: (i) Ik ladki bheegi bhagi si (ii) Zaroorat hai Zaroorat hai (iii) Aa ke seedhi lagi dil pe goli etc. etc & a lots other.
Similarly he was unique in Yoodley songs. None other than him was expert of yoodling.

Kishore sang TOTAL of 2905 songs ( that includes Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Marathi, Punjabi, Oriya, Kannada, Malayalam film AND non-films ). Rafi has sung more songs than Kishore ( Today is Rafi's birthday...May his soul rest in peace ). Elvis & Kishore, both were the greatest stage show people of all times ( Kishore in Indian Community ). Amit Kumar & Sumit Kumar do not have email addresses and they live in Kisoreda's bungalow in Juhu ( Kishore Kumar Ganguly Marg ), Mumbai. However I have Amit Kumars mobile number and have spoken to him once. I have Door Gagan Ki Chhaon Mein, but the VHS is in India and I wud be in India ( hopefully ) in Sept 2003. Kishores actual name was Abhas.
