Frankly, the old school style these cats deliver is back. For the exception of after school special, it is as they say "Golden"

From track 6 and up the cd is HOT AS HELL. I like jazz and I like hip hop, this is like a mix between the two. I love the cd and quality control was good too.

I thought J5 was interesting and somewhat exciting when their first EP came out a few years ago. Since then I’ve figured out that all this PC friendly hip-hop is just as boring as the bling bling shit that actually sells records. And another thing, I can’t understand or relate to Hip Hop that’s solely about Hip Hop! That shit is totally fucking boring. Imagine if Black Sabbath would have only sang songs about how they were in a rock n’ roll band. That would have gotten really boring after a while, plus we never would have heard Ozzy singing about Satan, weed, cocaine, or say things like “KILLING YOURSELF TO LIVE!” As far as modern day hip-hop goes, give me Kool Keith or I don’t really care anymore. Find something to say.

You should definately check out the KCRW show at the Universal Amphitheatre on Nov.22!! If you're a "sounds eclectic fan" you should have a blast at the show. This is one of those shows you do not want to miss out on. How often are you able to see BECK, Liz Phair,Damien Rice and The Jurassic 5 together at one show? I really suggest getting your tickets before it sells out! You can purchase your tickets through Ticket master or at the Universal Amphitheatre!! Do not get left out in the dusty trails of the lonely hearts!!I'll be there wearing my pink and purple polk a dotted slippers!
