The first tape I ever heard by Jose Padilla was a free tape in MUZIK magazine, and they were advertising Jose's album and the Cafe Del Mar 5 album.
When I first hear the tape I was hooked, the way that he was blending the tracks was sheer brilliance, so from that I went to my local record store and purchased the Cafe Del Mar 5 album, which is still listened to today.

If it wasnt for Jose I dont think I would got into downtempo, So I just wat to say thank you Jose for the past 4years hopefully there will be more to come.

We now own the full Cafe Del Mar series from numbers 1 to 9, and also Joses navigator album, along with other downtempo albums such as
Enya / William Orbit / Deep Forrest

As well as listening to downtempo I am a big fan of all genres in music. From classical to rave.

Phil Collins / Royksopp / Chicane / The Prodigy / Depeche Mode / The Crusaders / Burt Bacharach / Underworld / Masters at Work / Tiesto / Carl Cox / Bob Sinclair / Daft Punk / Chic / Coldplay / Dj Harvey / Brian Eno / Red Jerry / Paul Van Dyk / The Housemartins / Marusha / Badly Drawn Boy etc.......

Jose Padilla has really expanded his range, and taken great leaps from his chill-out days. He played Perth NYE 2004 and ripped into dance tracks for two hours! I have just heard that he will be performing on Australia Day long weekend, the 25th, at Fox Studios in Sydney. He is being backed up apparently by these two Perth DJ's Karl and Mark who do a percussion/dj set of their own, and this newly formed group La Fiesta Sound System.
