his hero is gone focus their anger on capitalist society and it's horrible

this is one of the most direct-perfect-pure-anarchistinside, on this planet. I've seen them in concert .....a really great performance. i don't know how this band thinks to this commercial WAR is happening, but i want to advice all of you to think that peace we usually know is just something less worst than war....i mean revolution

His Hero Is Gone were pretty good, but they are nothing compared to Tragedy. Tragedy is so brutal and so melodic. Some of the songs are instrumentals. They, like His Hero Is Gone are very anti-technology. They think something along the lines of technology is destroying liberty and enslaving people. In a way, they could be right. If you like HHIG, check out Tragedy, Severed Head of State (members of Meadowlark, HHIG, Detestation, and the dude from Mindcontrol Recs), etc.

His hero is gone were a great band, so Tragedy is a great band, what's the discussion here? What band is better? Bahhh I don't now, i think that His hero is gone ruled at a time,so in this days i think that bands like Tragedy, Severed head of state or From ashes rise are the fucking masters!!!

hhig/tragedy-

musically the only band I've ever heard that continues what infest started. Ideologically, they're one of the few intelligent anarchist bands out there.

they also seem to be one of the only bands that's been able to make punk, hardcore or metal that's heavy in the new-skool sense of the word. I really hope that they influence a new generation of bands, as I think they represent 1) a legitimate connection to the roots of this music in terms of fundamental outlook, and 2) a way forward. There is a crying need for both of these things, as the punk/ hardcore/ metal scenes have gotten very insipid (relative to the fury of days gone by) and have become a pale shadow of what once was.

not that they represent the ONLY way forward or anything close to it, but certainly one of the few that I've heard.
