To the one who posted as "can't beleive it":

As I said in the second post on page one, I was not sure about the meaning of a couple of posts. Please note, that I am german and my english is far from being perfect. So I deleted those posts that I could clearly identify as despiteful and those that referred to the deleted messages. The lyrics was one of those I was not sure about, so I left it and mailed native english speakers with the question what they think about it. Meanwhile I deleted it. If there are any other posts here that should get deleted, let me know. Against my usual customs, I already deleted a ton of messages here since yesterday. I would be very much appreciative if people who plan to post jokes or some other heartless things regarding this tragedy could hold back and think for a moment about how they would feel like if they was directly or indirectly affected by this and would have to read heartless messages here.

Thank you.

my thoughts are with those faithful fans that perished in last night's tragedy. although not a fan myself, i am deeply saddened by this great loss. however, i am most disturbed by the heartless postings on this site by a few assholes that think it's funny to make fun of this catastrophe. the innocent victims of "the station" fire did not deserve the agonizing death that they suffered, but perhaps the shithead hecklers who post these callous remarks do.

This is a very hard time for all. I don't know your music but I love people period. This tragedy makes me feel the same way I did on 9/11. We still feel the pain from the loss of all those who died, one of which was my husband's twin brother.

All things work together for good to those who believe. I pray God will shelter all of you and the families who lost a loved one.

Peace.

Re: PRSrox
I beleive that G.W. and the bar owner made an ignorant decision in thinking that the pyrotechs would work in such a small place. But should an ignorant decision label you as a malicious murderer. The band lost a fellow band member and long time friend, too. It was an accident. I beleive that no amount of money could make up for what happened, besides Great White and the bar owner probably do not have a great amount any way. Yet I do believe some reconcilation should be expected. What kind-I Don't Know!

What is up with these idiots. Lets see......a 60 year old small wooden building with a low ceiling, no sprinkler system and 300 people packed in like sardines......YEAH, LETS SHOOT FLAMES INTO THE AIR!!!!!! ROCK AND ROLL!!!!!!!

My heart goes out to the family and friends of the victims of the blaze.

Looky here, the band f*cked up big time and I'm sure they didn't mean to do so - but Jack Russell should be a man and admit to their wrong doing, whether they lost a band member or not.......if four other venues were concerned about Great White's *unauthorized* use of pyrotechnics, then what does that tell you? Great White was going to use them regardless - and unfortunately 96 people have now lost their lives because the band and their management failed to follow BASIC rules.
It all boils down to common disregard for rules, and you kids better listen up and learn something from this - failure to follow BASIC rules *can* result in death. Ask the guitar player who perished.....oh, sorry, he broke the rules and now he's dead.
More than likely the main cause of this is not only failure to follow rules and the law, but common disregard for someone else's safety. The remaining members of Great White are going to jail, trust me. That's the worst that will happen to them. And if you're whining about my comments, then think about this: next time it may be your wife - your girlfriend - your husband - your boyfriend - your brother - your sister - or your best friend - that f*cking dies because some a*hole thought he was too good to follow the rules.
Don't blame the owners of the club, blame the jerks that started the fire- Great White and their management.

NICE TO SEE BAND MEMBERS ON THE NEWS MENTION NOTHING EXCEPT "NOT OUR FAULT MAN ,,ITS THE OTHER GUY" HOW ABOUT I'M SORRY OR SOME COMPASSION ? IF YOUR MUSIC WAS WORTH A CRAP YOU WOULDNT NEED ALL THE GLAM AND GLITZ. WHERE DID THEY THINK THEY WERE..AN OUTDOOR CONCERT ? PLAYING SMALL CLUBS BECAUSE THEY SUCK YET STILL HANGING ONTO THE BIG STAGE THEATRICS..WE KNOW WHO IS AT FAULT.I HOPE THE NEXT SHOW IS THE PRISON REC ROOM.

>>By SATIVASUE   (Sunday, 23 Feb 2003 14:37)

If the Night Club had not of painted the sound proofing foam on the walls and ceiling the solovents from it would not have ignited. These fireworks or pyrotechnics won't ignite foam sound proofing unless it is cheap. So in my eyes the building was not even safe from a cigarette!
Great White is Not at fault here! They need to take the painted foam in consideration of the investigation!

>>By Axl   (Sunday, 23 Feb 2003 18:21)

I personally think that those who manage the band and coordinate the pyrotechnics should be held responsible. It is management who should call ahead to make sure the club owners know about and agree with the pyrotechnics/props/etc. that will be used during the concert. It is then the club owners decision to accept or reject it. I personally don't think the club owners knew about the pyrotechnics. I don't think any club owner in their right mind would allow pyrotechnics in such a small, low ceiling venue.
Also, I deeply sympathize with the families and friends of the deceased.

Great White needs to donate all sales from albums to the families of the victims. They must pay back the fans that helped them.

>>By Georgia Blues   (Sunday, 23 Feb 2003 22:08)

I work in a nightclub with national touring bands and we have NEVER had pyrotechnics, nor will we. When the band's gear is brought in it is usually done by the tech crew. The tech crew sets up, and they also "advance the show". Advancing the show is when the tour manager calls the venue's technical director a few days before the show and they discuss anything that might be needed, and technical specifications such as electricity, lighting, and in this case, pyrotechnics and ceiling height. Listening to other club's reports, pyrotechnics were probably never brought up when this show was advanced. Great White's road crew probably set up the pyros.
It seems to me that the greatest responsibility should be pinned on Great White's road crew.

I think they should put Jack Russell in jail right now, he doesnt even seem sorry any time u see him, not even when he was talking about his band member missing. It was the bands fault,I think they should have all stayed in the fire and burned, probably the guy that died was the only one trying to get others out. The club owners at least show they are sorry for whatever part they play in this, but Great White does not, maybe they know their career is finished for sure now, they sucked anyway. It is clearly the bands fault, Jack Russels to be exact, I mean if this band played so many places what were they thinking setting off fireworks in a place that small ?
All about the show huh, well I hope they are happy now, even people who rode the short bus to school probably wouldnt have used that stuff inside that bar, so hope u are happy Jack, people who came to see u died, and left their kids and wives etc... U should have stayed and burned too !!!

The band leader looks liek he was drunk from the start. And what's with his claim that he tried to put the fire out with a bottle of water? We have seen the video... you just kept playing on you fool.

The victims need more that the proceeds from future albums b/c that will only be about 10-15 bucks each family seeing as this band is so lame.

>>By J. Russell   (Monday, 24 Feb 2003 19:13)

Great White should have known that would happen. They set to much pyro for such a small venue. No real pyro-tech would have used that type of pyro there. I think they should face secound degree murder charges.

>>By truth   (Monday, 24 Feb 2003 22:44)

.... and what is with that lead singer in the ski hat? What a fat s.o.b. If that is what the lead singer of a rock bad is suposed to look like then I'm telling my fat uncle Ed to audition for the Dokken reunion tour.

what the band has done to innocent people is ironic

>>By great white shit   (Tuesday, 25 Feb 2003 03:30)

This was a great band that played straight ahead rock . They say the late 80's saw some of the greatest music ever played , if you liked hard melodic rock and great guitar riffs you loved this era . Say what you will Great white was part of that . They still kept playing because they loved it , you have to respect that . Good bless all the people that died in the accident that night . Lets hope this changes fire regulations going foward .

>>By JY   (Tuesday, 25 Feb 2003 04:28)

any band-- especially a second-rate band that practically no one has heard of until they kill people--that puts out a "farewell" alblum/tour should have a pyrotechnic display launched inside their anal cavity. Now there are not two but three things that are certain in this world: death, taxes and AT LEAST one post-farewell alblum/tour by Great White.

I have a Certified RIAA Gold Record Award for Great White's "Once Bitten Twice Shy" Album. If interested let me know

>>By Ronaldo   (Wednesday, 26 Feb 2003 01:46)

Ronaldo you are a sick pup. Here's an idea. Give the thing to a victim's family and let them sell it and keep the proceeds.

>>By Stan   (Wednesday, 26 Feb 2003 16:59)

i say noone spends one more penny on them , let them get a real job if they need money who wants their album ronaldo, noone should

IN THE GRAND TRADITION of rock bands and their endless "farewell" alblums and tours, I would like to congratulate Great White in advance on the success of their Final Farewell Tour part VII : We're Really Outta Here Now, and the likely follow-up Final Farewell VIII: A New Beginning. Possibly Final Farewell VIII will be done from a nursing home with the band in wheelchairs. This will NOT however subtract from GW's lively stage antics featuring...well...uh...nevermind.

>>By you know it   (Wednesday, 5 Mar 2003 16:55)

Need an update does anyone know if Great Whites story is true or if the club owners story is true. I know other clubs had said they hadn't asked for permission to use the pyrotechs but was it ever proven.

HEAR US YE PEOPLE OF THE POST. The gods of rock speak to the humble masses--or at least the half dozen or so Great White faithful reading this explanation that--by the way--you do not deserve. In any event here is the straight dope. We could no longer stand by and allow a band whose show "climaxed" with a song as cotton candy-ass as "once Bitten, Twice Shy." We could no longer take the 22 minute live jam version that milked every note and then some out of the song. Shoot, we couldn't take the 2:58 version on the radio. Once Jimi Hendrix sprained his right pinkie jamming his fingers in his ears. So the gods of rock have spoken. As for the audience we are sorry but c'mon...really...what the heck were you doing there????

>>By gods of rock   (Thursday, 6 Mar 2003 02:08)
