I love this man. And I love his band even more. Fela's has become some of the most comforting music I have in my library. His entire discography has been available in torrent form for some time now. I know, it's really not that cool to steal music, but some times it's just plumb necessary. Anybody who likes to groove to some authentic afro-beat jams will soil themselves upon first listening. What else can be said about this? Oh an quote of his regarding politics was sampled in the new Mos Def album, The Ecstatic. Look up "Mos Def Letterman" on youtube to check that out. Alright, just a few famous quotes for the sake of potentially starting a discussion about this hero of mine.
