Duran Duran

Yeah, I remember. They are these 80s stars we all enjoyed during that time. 'Wild Boys' etc...

Duran Duran is the greatest group off all time. The fact that they are reuniting to the original five is a very exciting time for all duranies! Most never got the experience of the original members, so this ought to be something! Woo hoo!

listen to New Moon on Monday...Simon and his endlessly sexy voice in the intro is enough to send anyone into an orgasmic rush

Ordinary World is the most beautiful song in the world.

A bunch of 'pretty boys'.
Anything else going for them?

Didn't see the pretty of these guys, yet i know what you mean. Nevertheless i disagree that they only could be good-looking. Never was a fan of their music (though i like some of their works), but they really can be called musicians.

OK, there was a talent...... but just for creating that front or facade of theirs. I seriously wonder if they were just taking the complete piss out of us all along. I mean, they were almost defying most of us to like them.
Some might have fallen for all that gloss, the make-up, the expensive clothes, the surly & churlish songs, the budget-eating promo videos......
..... I didn't.

Me neither, but some years later (begin nineties) i coinsidently heard some of their music that really surprised me. Yet indeed it is a shame they've let themselves go on their looks later on. Something we cannot ignore, i must admit.

I saw them live after they released planet earth and they were incredibly bad, but nice guys, someone stole my autographed programme and andy taylor personally turned up at my house with a replacement!!

We're all getting older, DD included, so it's quite 'brave' of them to reform perhaps.
A Flock O Seagulls, admittedly not quite as pretty & slick. but from the same original era & also into make-up & fancy hair, were easily quite the worst 'professional' group that I ever saw live. I've heard better school bands.
