Dog Fashion Disco

Forum

dog fashion disco is my favorite band because they do different stuff
all the time. "pogo the clown" to "pour some urine on me"
too "albino rhino" its fuckin insane, they are happy music with dark
lyrics that make alot of since its not all kill kill kill, its life in a twisted way

I love Dog Fashion Disco!!!! They are as sick and twisted as I am. I feel their sickness in my veins. Thumping in my temples, oozing through my brain. The feeling's surge through me as I slowly become one with dementia.

they are the most original and diverse artists in today's crap-rock. . .
next to Dog Fashion Disco any other fucking music pales in c-c-c-comparison and becomes unworthy to listen to. . .they need more recognition, but not from the nits of the mtv mainstreaM. .. you people need to work to make them an underground success and not expose them to FAGS who just ride "the fad"
fuck you. .. . .-shawn "that chemical state of mind"colee

This band is the most original band I have ever heard. Keep them underground please.

DFD is the most original and just plain insane bands to hit the underground hardcore metal scene ever. They slow their music down to a point and bring it back up to slap you in the face. This is the work of artistical geniuses and I hope they stay in the underground for as long as they're together. Committed to a Bright Future in May.

>>By Keef   (Wednesday, 5 Mar 2003 19:51)

DFD is def. one of my favorite bands of all time. Since hearing "Mushroom Cult" all the way to "Pogo the Clown". Nothing can replace their originality, despite other say they are another gwar.. thats just bullshit... ANYWAYS.. DFD is here to stay..

>>By Static   (Thursday, 6 Mar 2003 00:43)

this band is simply mind-numbing...in a good way
they are my favorite

>>By Kile_de_Muerte   (Wednesday, 12 Mar 2003 06:21)

>>By ZIP_GUN   (Tuesday, 25 Mar 2003 08:25)

they're pretty out there. they have a very original sound that's very sinister.

>>By ZIP_GUN   (Tuesday, 25 Mar 2003 08:26)

ive got a band right now, myself, and after hearing these guys i was releived that my band wasnt the onlything out there pushing the limits of creativity.

>>By ZIP_GUN   (Tuesday, 25 Mar 2003 08:28)

DFD is the coolest by far. I absolutely LOVE listening to them.. and the fact that they are local... wo0 ho0!!! DFD rocks.. and if anyone reads these posts and isn't familiar with the band, i advise them to check them out!
its worth it!!!

I love their melting pot of msuic. Like the metal guitars meet gospel organ synths! who the fuck could come up with shit like that other than DFD?? Almost as sweet as Mushroomhead. overall, great originality and creativity extremes

i think that DfD is one of the leaders in the "circus metal" genre.....they incorporate an array of elements into their music....from jazz, surf, to swing and salsa.. they incorporate them in a very diffrent way from other bands..and they add an energy that is lacking from other "circus" bands....their energy reminds me of a rawer and older System of a Down mixed with the talent of earlier Mr Bungle...an impressive mix noone the less...i highly recommend them to any one that has a metal sweet tooth and a eclectic taste for music

I was just introduced to this band recently and I'm already hooked. They kick ass! It's good to hear something heavy that doesn't try to incorporate rap in any way. I'm not saying that rap is bad... but Linkin Park and Limp Bizkit seem to ruin it for everyone. Dog Fashion Disco definitely remind me of what Mr. Bungle sounded like on their first record and early demos... wacky yet technical with that "I don't give a fuck" attitude. More musicians need to use that approach in their songwriting and performance. It would sure make the music industry more interesting! Music is supposed to be fun, no matter what genre. It's refreshing to hear a band who actually sounds like they enjoy what they're doing. Keep up the good work, DFD!

"Oh sweet rapist eyes, look what you've done to me. You burned down the temple, where the children were sleeping..."

And the piano at the end, just when you thought the song couldn't get better...

My first DFD experience was seeing them live when they played with Mindless Self Indulgence back in December. I can't even begin to describe how fucking great this band is. If you like ska, there's "Siddhis" and "Lost in Anacostia", if you like jazz there's "Pogo the Clown", if you like organ/calliope there's "The Christian Dance Song" and "God Crisis", if you like straight up metal there's "Pervert" and "G. Eye Joe", if you like mellower music there's "Wait" and "En La Noche" .. and "Vertigo Motel" is completely unlike anything else I've ever heard.

DFD is going to own your ass. Better now than later.

dog fashion disco recently crashed at my place when they played at the sofhistcated otter in johnson city tn. i didint personally know them untill that night, but they have been my favorite band now for about 2 years. it was great. they were sitting at thier booth selling stuff and i just asked if they wanted to party after the show, and they said sure, why not. they ended up leaving about 1130 the next morning. and on top of it i gave them a kimble organ for thier keybordist to have when he got better. i think i had the most fun w/ thier drummer mike. he stayed up and pardied with me while the other guys crashed for the night. anyway, if u guys get a chance to see them at a show nearby, dont miss it!!! and if u talk to them tell them the guy who gave them the organ said hi.
