what can one say about Derrick that has not already been said? Just to hang out with Derrick and listen to him talk is like having a walking prescription to prozac...and it is definitely a major factor in him being a mood altering Dj....the hundred or more times I have seen him I have never had a complaint, always leaving extremely sore from dancing and with an enormous smile on my face... By far one of the best Djs on the planet today....Derrick, along with my opinion of the other two faces that inspire beyond all others;
Mark Farina and Miles Maeda......are the epitome of House Music today and will continue to turn heads with the beats they drop in the future.....

Quit worrying about his sexuality. What he eats shouldn't make you shit ..... so stay out of his bed and I'm sure he will stay at of yours. As a longtime friend of Derrick's and someone who helped him get his start, I can say Derrick has always been dedicated to the music. This is a highly intelligent who scored extremely high on the ACT and had many academic scholarship offers to college that passed it up because of his love for the music and all he wants to do is give you the music like you want it. As far as you are concerned Ninjatune coward who won't even use your real name, just enjoy the music and shut the fuck up. Trust me Derrick may have the world behind him but his biggest fans and friends are from the WOODS so watch your tongue Ninjatune and just enjoy what Derrick is giving to you from years of dedication.

As someone who grew up around Chicago, I have been listening to Derrick since the begining. He is by far one of the greatest talents this industry has ever seen and one of the main reasons I got into the House music scene. Thanks Derrick for all the endless nights!

I agree, he is one of the best house dj's on the planet. He totally switched me on to the chicago house sound and i now i can't get enough! I have heard many of his mixes, my favourite is his Radio 1 (UK) essential mix from 19/5/2002 but i can't find the correct tracklisting for it anywhere. Does anyone have the correct tracklisting for this mix? I am particular keen to find the track which he plays the destiny's child 'bugaboo' vocal over. I Can't wait to see him at sankeys soap in manchester (UK) on december 10th.
