Formed in 1991 by then college students, Dray and Scoob, Das EFX quickly rose to the forefront of the early 90's hip-hop movement. Their first release, Dead Serious (Elektra) was a groundbreaking album fortified with speedy, hard-hitting lyrics and controversial themes. The lead single, "They Want EFX" became a hip-hop anthem, going on to sell a staggering 500,000 copies. After several back-to-back and highly successful albums, the group decided to take a much needed and deserved hiatus, although still continued to tour and guest appear on various projects. Now well rested and focused as ever, DAS EFX is finishing up their soon-to-be-released 5th album (early 2003, Title pending). Start spreading the word...DAS is back.
