darren emerson is one of the smoothest DJs out there, yet not many people know about him. he leads the underwater label, after splitting away from underworld, the famous band who created the infamous track "Born Slippy" amongst others.

emerson remixes some very good tracks, and isn't afraid to try some new things while mixing. his style is a mix in between house and trance/techno, which is my taste as well; thus the reason why i resonate with this DJ very well.

the number one reason why emerson is such a good DJ is that his transitions are very smooth and stealth usually. you cannot tell where one track ends, and the other starts- and i think that signafies a good mixer.

the only other person who can do better transitions in my opinion is Hernan Cattaneo

Why did Darren Emerson leave Underworld? They were at their best as a 3 piece. From 1993 to 1999 they were the greatest outfit in electronica.
