Dark Tranquillity is a good metal band. I love there keyboard riffs and everything else about them. If you havent heard them yet check them out they fucking rock. I'm going to see them in seattle at graceland and I cant wait.

Well what can i say. MAN this band kicks ass. I love their dark yet peaceful music. Not sure if i would classify this as black metal or not, but who cares wot genre they are they are unique. I dont know another band like em. The keyboard sounds are superb.
If you havent heard em go listen to em now. I just wish I knew somewhere where I could buy their music (in UK) as the music stores are sooooo shallow with 'chart' music.

Hey Tom- this may be damn obvious but HMV has a phat selection of black/thrash/heavy/death metal-look there. they normally sell those CDs for £16.99- however if you ORDER an album from HMV instead, then it cost £14.99 random i kno but it is useful.
no i dont work there i just shop there all the time coz theyve got a great choice!

i think you'll find that Anders is on the first album (cant remeber whether its skydancer or of chaos... but im pretty sure its one of those, coz he left after one or two albums.

The hmv store in my town is a bit pants really. They have hardly any selection in their 'so called' metal section. I may start using the website and order em from there as I can find about 90% of wot i want. Which album do ppl recomend as the best?

What, from Dark Tranqullity? probably skydancer or haven- but ive only got Damage done so i cant say really!
but what i can say is that damage done is fantastic though, its got every thing- its heavy, fast and melodic, but also very technical with some weird timechanges.if you wanna nod ur head then this is the one!but if you wanna head bang furiously then im not so sure!

Oh well dark tranquillity are still good death metal band with good riffs and a nice industrial tinge to it.

wow.. i love these guys!
I had a chance to listen to the mind's i and it was pretty amazing! this band coupled with in flames imo make for a killer metal mix to listen to on any given day!
(Let it be known this be the first [of the perhaps few and thus quite valuable amounts of] truth that i speak on here!)

A lot of people hate Dark Tranquillity. I don't. I would like to call it 'trance death-metal.' Many of the keyboard sounds remind me of the sounds many crappy dj's are using, But in case of Dark Tranquillity it creates a really strange atmoshpere, really spacey and a little bit industrial. Great band!!!

I Love Dark Tranquillity, i have all the albums and i think each one is outstanding, they are one of the very few bands that i think have stayed true to the gothenburg sound and still after all other bands efforts, they stand out. There new album (along with Kreators) is the best metal album to come out this year, check it out!
