I read news that Atlantic is having problems (financial problems) and that they let go a lot of artist from that label, including Collective Soul.
They're looking for another record label and then they'll release the album. That shouldn't be a problem since they're one of the most played bands on the radio ...maybe except in chicago.

hey... i love collective soul as much as any of you, and yeah it frustrating the there website is down, and even when it isn't, it doesn't really give you that much info, for example....check out www.u2.com, that site is incredible. But that's the way it is with every other band...eg:3rd eye blind, that album took forever to decide a date.....
so i guess we just got to stay patient, because i have a feeling....this album is gonna rock

Collective Soul is by no means "done". The next CD will come, I'm being patient with it. Can't wait until it's out though, I hope it's right at the level that Dosage was. Collective Soul is one of the greatest bands of all time, their music has meaning. True fan here.

Looks like the album is being re-recorded & they are thinking of releacing it independently sometime next year, 2004. SHITE! Saw them a couple years ago in Cape Town, South Africa - increadible music and performance.

i've been a CS fan for about 4 days... got their CD from my library. my best friend has all of their CDs and has a good taste in music, so when i came across 7even Year Itch, i decided to get it. now i love their music. i have to burn it before i have to take it back, along with all of my friend's CDs. does anyone know if they'll go on tour anytime soon?

It's so good to hear from so many people about their love for Collective Soul and their music. Now I know that I'm not crazy. :) I too am a hugely, gigantic fan of them and definitely would place them in my top 5 favorite bands of all time (among Pink Floyd, The Who, Led Zeppelin, and Live). So their new album is set to come out in late June.....or something? I sure hope so....though I still have to get Blender, and have only heard it once. SHAME! Hehe. It's too bad that things are so up-in-the-air concerning their new album and practically everything else! Eventually things will work out, I'm sure. Well, keep up the love everyone and hopefully we'll be hearing from our beloved band very soon! Rock on and junk.
P.S. It sucks that Ross isn't a part of the group anymore....I think that his solos always rocked and.......plus, he is really hot.........!!!! Anyone agree? If not, check out his mug in the Disciplined Breakdown cd jacket.....*drools*. He's just a good-looking piece of bad-arse, guitar playing riot man!

Ross rocked, and he will be missed, apparently the album is going to be released this September according to a radio interview with the band, and they also said its gonna be more rock than anything they have done before according to Dean, but yeah the whole Ross deal is in the past, he was my favorite band member, and I will miss him, he will be back in the biz in a different role and projects sometime soon hopefully, the long wait for the new CS album will be worth the wait, they are producing it themselves ( primarily Ed of course) which is good news, no more big label BS, doing it on their own and their way. HANG ON FOLKS, IT WILL COME SOON, I CANT WAIT EITHER ^_^

i have been to 3 CS concerts here in the little city of providence rhode island and i have to say they were amazing!! i have also noticed that they are getting a little techno-y but apparently the new album is going to be solid rock. well lets wait and see, if the greatest band of all time can go back to the old school style rock from their self titled album!

yeah, Collective Soul is just an awesome band. I never get tired of listening to their stuff. I have gone to their website over and over again in the past few months, hoping for some updates on when their new album will be released. I have faith though that when it finally does come out, it will be great!

I'm also a big fan of CS and have been since Hints. I've taken them with me from the West Indies to West Africa, and it seems there's a CS song that fits every up and down in my life. I recently lost my mother to cancer, and CS has really helped me get through it. After I left the funeral I stuck in the Blue Album, and stuck Reunion on Repeat. I love these guys and hope they keep inspiring us "True" music fans. Way to go Guys!!

I have seen CS 4 times in 2 different locations they are awsome there music is timeless like some of the classic rockers of the sixties the who the stones pink floyd they will rock in to the next century hope there new album is out soon and as good as there self titles album which to me was theer best effort to date dosage was a close second bur CS is one of the top 10 bands of all time rock on COLLECTIVE SOUL

I know we've waited forever, but dudes come on, it will be worth it, like everything theyve ever done. i too am a huge and true fan. I got my first CS album(cassette) when i was like 7 and ive loved them ever since. theyre so cool because they honestly dont even have one bad song. id have to say that the world i know is one of my faves tho, and thats so cool to be able to play it.
but ANYWAYS... does anyone know if theyre coming to canada anytime soon? specifically southwestern ontario??? if anyone has heard, could they please let me now. My best friend and i are going nuts cuz we NEED to see them soon.

In reply to applesauce comments, no one can ever replace Ross Childress in the band, I just saw them on Sept 29th, and the new guitar player didn't even come close to playing as good as Ross did, the songs that Ross played "Heavy and Shine" he didn't do them very well. So I think Collective Soul made a big mistake in letting him go, just my opinion. tb
