I found out about this band when I taped their album, The Day The Earth Caught Fire, from the radio. Some stations used to play new albums in their entirety for people to hear and record on cassette or reel to reel. Yeah, that dates me. Anyway, City Boy was like a combination of ELO and early Queen. The Day The Earth Caught Fire was a concept album about the end of the world, probably their best. I just picked up a bunch of re-issues of their albums from Renaissance Records on CD. It's been a cool blast from the past. They were really pretty good and should have gotten more attention than they did.
