brighteyes is an amazing band lead by the genious of conor oberst....His lyrics are so moving and absolutely brilliant. I can relate to basically any of his songs. On "lifted...." there is usually a full orchestra creating a brilliant sound, and fevers and mirrors is astoundingly good. All the other lps and cds are fuckin tops as well. Buy an album. NOW! seriously. Brighteyes is something no one should live without. =)

Bright Eyes is awesome and Connor is one of those nice performers that isnt afraid to talk to his fans while walking on/off stage. Even though the show i saw (san diego) had horrible sound... connor was determined to deliver to his fans... and he's damn easy on the eyes. I think my favorite live that they did was LOver I don't Have to Love. :)

Bright eyes gives acoustic emo a name back after it was fucked up by that fucking horrible band Dashboard Confessional. Bright eyes has one of the most honest lyrics I've ever heard. And while the lead singer may need some therapy to deal with his girl issues, he is brillent in his writing talent.

Anyone here know how to get in touch with Connor Oberst or Bright eyes in general.....? Such as E-mail or posted mail addresses. If so that'd be greatly appreciated...

well i guess i was introduced to bright eyes by a friend who i sometimes seem to lose track of, so i listen to them to remind me of 'all the sweetness that has passed'

Bright Eyes is as raw and emotional as music can get. Conor puts it out there like noone I've ever heard before and as a songwriter he is rediculously inspiring! He pretty much tells you his whole process through his lyrics and holds nothing back. He is somewhat off key most of the time but it only works to his advantage. His lyrics are incredible and read more like a book then a song, yet when he sings them they fit perfectly. Bright Eyes will only be getting bigger.

Oyi...I must have a say with Bright Eyes...I was introduced to their music by a friend-OMFG, I love Conor's voice more than ANYTHING....So I became like this fan and's good times. Anyways I got to see him in Concert at a Tucson, AZ show...I never could be any happier...I seriously like slept tht night with a grin across my lips....The perfect band...I think-this is the what REAL music is.

Bright eyes is that music that truly reaches out to you. It's that emo that's true and meaningful. Connor is the most talented song writer out there right now and anyone who has heard his music is that much better. My friends and I just recently discussed how his music appeals to a more intelligent crowd. He's someone who deserves to be known. I also enjoy his references to 'fiddler on the roof.' Connor you are amazing!

I just saw Bright Eyes in Houston, Texas at the Engine Room. Their performance was so beautiful. One of the best live bands that I've ever seen. My personal favorite song that they perfomed was 'A Perfect Sonnet'. The lyrics are brilliant:
"..........I've killed myself with changes trying to make things better
And ended up becoming something other
than what I had planned to be........."

My boyfriend got me into Bright Eyes before we started dating. Hearing Conor was one of the best things that has ever happened to me. His songs are amazing. He has helped me see the positive aspects in life instead of just focusing on the negative things. When I'm sad, "Bowl of Oranges" cheers me up. You should all listen to his other band, Desaparacidos. It's great.
