This band forced me to change the way I think about rock music. I just really fucking love their shit, especially the song 'Handful of Redemption'.

Handful of Redemption is one of the best songs I have ever heard, but Mgmt vs Labor makes me break out in goosebumps every time I hear the ending bridge of the song. America will be reborn!

>>By Russtopher   (Thursday, 15 May 2003 02:06)

I LOVE ROOKIE TOO

>>By Alkalinetrio540   (Monday, 18 Aug 2003 20:29)

we all know that bsf's best song ever is THE ABOMBINATION OF THOSE VIRTUOS....

>>By ROSS N   (Monday, 8 Dec 2003 03:02)

well since no one's been here for 3 months i doubt anyone will read this BSF rules well i guess thats all i have to say

>>By therion   (Friday, 12 Mar 2004 00:30)

no one's been on here 8 months now...

BSF do rule, both live and on CD. I can decide between them and 36 Crazyfists as to who is the best post-hardcore band. I have all their albums, and each one they release is better than the last, I hope they live forever.

Where are the BSF fans???

I'm here. Although I see that no one's been on for 2 months now... COME ON GUYS!!! THIS IS THE BEST BAND EVER!!! Ahem, please excuse my anger and fucking rage. And to The Punchline, if your still alive, I think that tomorrow come today is better than after the eulogy, but I have both of them and I listen to them allllll the time. This band is absolutely awesome. Protest IS Patriotism, and Nathan Gray is a kick-ass singer. Matt Krupanski is my idol, I dream of someday being able to bang on those drums as well as he can. Josh latshaw is a pretty funny-looking guy, but he's also an amazing guitarist so I like him. Chad is also very talented and the same goes for Robert. They are releasing a new album soon after new years and when I first that I was so happy. These guys are so awesome. Someone please visit this place, I just don't know why BSF isn't the most famous band in the world... THEY'RE FUCKING AWESOME!!! Rock on guys, and never stop!

the question of the month lol (because im not sure when anyones coming back)is what is your favorite album and song of all time?

>>By MetalBladeRecords   (Monday, 7 Feb 2005 18:09)

Favorite record is Tomorrow come today, and favorite song would have to be.... GAHHH!!... I love them all... maybe Management Vrs. Labor.

>>By Urbane   (Saturday, 9 Apr 2005 06:31)

Yeah TCT definitely, they are one of those few bands who's albums improve with each new release.

Favorite song is probably Release The Dogs, easy choice I know, but their live performance of that song is just off the fucking hook. They could sell any song to me.

>>By Stinkfist   (Sunday, 10 Apr 2005 00:28)

Have you been to any of their shows? They never come to Canada and that's really starting to bug me because anyone who I've talked to who's seen them live say they're better live and I want to see them live so badly.

>>By Urbane   (Monday, 18 Apr 2005 23:24)

I've known Boy Sets Fire for about 8 years now and it's a shame they diceded to quit. I'm very happy though I've been able to see their very last show in Holland. It rocked! They ended with After the Eulogy (rise!), it was master! The whole crowd went wild.
Their best album is probably The Day The Sun Went Out. It's got the most anger and spirit in it I think.
Favourite song: After the Eulogy, just because it was the last one they played live, they have so many great songs.

It's old news, but still... I can't believe they're done. I guess it was too much work, too much commitment and not enough recognition. They were one of the first bands to combine the raging scream with the melodic singing, and I'm personally very sad to see Matt Krupanski away from the drumming world. I hope they continue to pursue their musical careers, though, in a different band.
