Big Star were wonderful! It took me a bit to get into them, but I just needed to hear all three albums and REALLY listen to them, especially in the context in which they were made. Still don't understand "Kangaroo" , but I still love it. AS the ad to the left shows, they have some songs on "That 70's Show", including the theme song. "I'm in love with a girl", so great! 'Holocaust' is sad, harrowing stuff that has made for incredible covers by the likes of Jeff Buckley and This Mortal Coil (who also covered 'Kangaroo' and Bell's 'I Am The Cosmos').
laodobs, just type in "daisy glaze tab". I did, and a number of tabs came up. Like this one at zenandjuice.com: /music/bigstar/chords/daisyglaze.txt

Gone but very much not forgotten. Likewise Chris Bell.

Don't forget Evan Dando of the Lemonheads is a big fan of Big Star - he's recorded several great covers - The Ballad of El Goodo for instance. In my old car I used to keep a Big Star tape that got played all summer long and on holidays driving through France - all good memories.
