Bauhaus consisted of a group of truly talented young men. Their approach to music was fresh and inventive at the time. I just wish they hadn't broken up so quickly.

the bauhaus are a beautiful band, creative and dark. their lyrics take my mind to a whole different level. i think they are really good. but still after hearing alot of their music, 'shes in parties' really is my favorite

They remind me a lot of The Velvet Underground lyrical wise, but their sound has a better feel to it. Crowds and God in an Alcove are great.

They had an incredibly powerful sound.I think "burning from the inside" is their most consistent record.Where they really peaked, songwriting-wise.

Saw them in 1982(sneaked out after parents had retired-such a rebel!)Best album is definitely'press the eject and give me the tape'cos its live and thats the way bands like that sound best!Also watch 'the hunger'if you havent already-pete murphy looking all gaunt and yummy!

I found the 'Gotham' video at a thrift store about two weeks ago. I bought that and New Order's 'Taras Shevchenko' for a grand total of $6.99. Quite a bargain.

I recently heard their latest album, "Go Away White."
As this was my introduction to Bauhaus, I was blown away at how amazing they sounded after not playing for so long.
I'm rather disappointed that this is it for them.
