They are not commercial and they say what they want to. All I want to say is more people need to listen to them because they are really good.

Fair enough. Although I think many commercial rappers also say what they want to, the problem is what they want to say is not very original at all.
On the flip side, I feel that a lot of underground rap falls into the trap of defining itself solely through an opposition to commercial rap. By this I mean that their main themes are their aversion to the mainstream sounds that dominate the airwaves and so in a way they lack creativity as well, because without their righteous anger towards bling-bling rap they would have nothing to flow about themselves.

That is true with alot of underground rappers you just have to find the right one's to listen to like aesop rock or slug and atmosphere, El-p, Mc Paul Barman, Mr.Lif.Try to find some of there stuff and se what you think oh and i can't forget about deltron.

Aesop Rock is my favorite rapper, sage francis my second favorite, slug after that, then everything becomes a jumble (del, el-p, mr lif is kinda wack in my opinion, and others.
So yeah, my point is I agree with all your recs and am not trying to say all underground hip hop is defined through opposition.
Peace
