Saw her play live in London at the Strat Pack show a few years ago... Back then she was a promising talent performing some singer-songwriter stuff. Gonna hear her again this weekend on a festival in Finland, should be good! Music is pretty nice but her tattoos are a bit weird I think.

just my .02

I've posted for artists whom i don't like in the past & am prepared to do it again whenever.
I wonder if Amy Winehouse is a mimic, albeit a good one. Maybe it's just me but when i listen to her, I don't feel she's breathing any emotion into her lyrics. She doesn't convincingly live-out any scenarios that she sings about. She scores higher for technique but is very short on genuine soul, I'd say.

I believe that the back to Black album was written during her break up from Blake ,when he went off with someone else? I hear the soul in her voice in those songs.

OMG how bad was her hair dyed blonde, poor Amy she needs so much help.

Great voice overshadowed by her stupidity and 'cliche' lifestyle. She'll be dead within 12 months!!

@ nonyeb: - Amy is not mimicing, she is "Influenced". But that is re musical style. (Much credit to The Dap Kings in that department.) How can you say "She doesn't convincingly live-out any scenarios that she sings about" when it is obvious her lyrics are so personal and reveal the deeply disfunctional person we see today? We all like to relate to a song of say, a broken relationship, but who wants to say they enjoy it when they know what it might have cost the artist to experience what they write about?
I think Amy is both musically & lyrically talented, but unfortunately pharmaceutically challenged; I wish her and her talent well in the future. (And no, I have never been caught more intoxicated than I intended.......... Yeah, right!:-)

I don't like how the media rewards people like Amy Winehouse for being fuckups but not the rest of us. There are lots of talented fuckups around, they just don't all have record deals. Society says it's ok to be a fuckup as long as you're on TV. It's not right.

Her music's alright I guess. Not my kind of thing.

She makes me scared. She is so talented but i can tell she´s into such a squalid scene. But when she sings, ... I want to sing too or dance or just listen. All in all, she´s great.

I have both her CDs and the posthumous one. Respectful question: -

Where did Amy get her look?
