I think that the Outsider video is great.. I think you shouldn't compare it to tool videos, they are part of Tool, and Perfect circle is not Tool, and therefor dosn't have the same sort of video's......

A perfect circle...............revelation

Is the Outsider video the one with the half naked womens? I like the part of that one where the girl was like "hey boooy! where's the backdoor?" and he's like "in the back" That gets me everytime. But maybe I'm thinking of a different video? c'mon, it's hilarious.

>>By CÆT   (Sunday, 2 May 2004 21:40)

yea thats the one, aparently its part of a soft core porn film that maynard was in...not sure on that, but its so funny anyway, pity the one on the site is censored

Of course APC doesn't have nothing to do with Tool, you are absolutely right, maybe you didn't catch my point. What I was trying to say is that Tool videos mean more to me than APC's, but I guess that's because I like Tool more :P
Anyway, you can get the original uncensored Outsider video quite easily with Imesh or eMule. I've never seen the censored version, what are the differences?

I've just found out some cool band called Scharisma (www.scharisma.com), and downloaded the 4 songs from their website. But I can't find their album here in Portugal :X
Does anyone know them?

the tapeworm project Maynard worked on with senor Reznor should be good if it ever materializes. Maynard played a track (Vacant) off it at a few shows and i believe it had Trent's batflaps in a twist. but all is well at drowning depth as they continue to collarborate and surviving mortals will attest that tapeworm will indeed leave the most fervent...agnostic.

A Perfect Circle is an amazing band, and I think Thirteenth Step is definitely a very, very overwhelming beautiful disc (i've heard it on just about every mind set possible if you know what I mean =) and I think they should feel very blessed that God, Buddha, Fate, your mom's pancakes...whatever you believe in...blessed them by giving them the ability to create something like it. Maynard, Billy Corgadel or Howerdel, it's all the same to me, and Josh Freese right amazing music. (not forgetting Paz and Danny or anyone else on the album). Being as they have a three album deal with Virgin, the third disc which will probably appear 2006 or 2007, will be amazing as well. I really hope it's a double disc because they are very much the type of band to do something like that. Either way, I saw the band like three and a half-times this year, and they are fucking awesome!!! I hope you guys enjoy as much as I do...thedon.pitas.com

hehe...oh and on the Tool vs A Perfect Circle Thing...A Perfect Circle is Maynard's brainchild across Billy Howerdel's music, and Tool is Danny Carey's brainchild decorated with Maynards voice...two totally different brainchild's...both unique in their own way. A Perfect Circle doesn't have the dark groove that Tool does, but is definitely a conceptually darker band (and they have prettier songs) all attuned to the vanity of lack of self-esteem. In both bands, Maynard simply loves to perform and he loves to sing. It's like watching movies from two different directors with Brad Pitt in it. Same actor, just different movies. I can't wait til the next Tool album and I congratulate Maynard on his success and hope him good luck with his coming projects...thedon.pitas.com

First off, I know this discussion hasn't been updated for ages, so there's a couple of pieces of information here that are incorrect:

-Maynard J Keenan and Trent Reznor's project, Tapeworm, was dropped as both were too busy recording new APC/NIN albums.

-As most people will know, APC's third album, eMOTIVe, will be released on November 2nd of this year, not 2006/07 as was stated above.

I love APC. Both of their albums so far have been almost perfect, and in my opinion, Thirteenth Step is one of the best alternative rock albums of the last 10-20 years. 'The Package' in particular, is a masterpiece of a song.

Check out APC's official website to listen to a track from eMOTIVe, their cover of John Lennon's 'Imagine'. It will blow your mind. Roll on November 2nd!!!

10. Counting Bodies Like Sheep to the Rhythm of the War Drums

This number I am sure is a line from a Tool song, so why does it appear on a Perfect Circle album? Still This does make me very curious to the record

>>By Campking   (Saturday, 16 Oct 2004 18:24)

um, i've been listening to Tool for years and memorize every lyric they've ever written...that's definitely not a line from a tool song, especially since tool have never directed their views towards politics aggressively at all. This line if from track 10 "Pet" on APC's second album, and this song happens to be a remix of that song which is the only reason.

Oh and [Schism], i know scharisma. When they heard my music they sent me an email to check out their stuff, it was pretty cool. They're very talented.

ya A Perfect Circle are one of hte deepest, most intense bands out there. They Rock and its cool to hear other fans talk bout them.

>>By mellowdreamer   (Saturday, 23 Oct 2004 07:48)

OKe, This must only mean that I did recognize it well, but I am to mixed up between the two of them.. I have been listening to tooll ever since Opiate, and I was convinced it was a tool line. But yes, now I remeber the whole song.... actually hqad to listen to it to remember. sorry for the stupid mix up...

>>By Campking   (Saturday, 23 Oct 2004 13:02)

for all you people who like APC and TOOL you should check out HUM and Failure, come on expand your music horizon... the Nurse who loved me.....yeah that's a Failure song and the original is SOOOOOO much better

Judith was the one song that got me hooked onto A Perfect Circle. Unfortunately, I got hooked onto them far too late. I liked 2 of their albums but never got to see them in concert. I just can wish now that they might reunite someday in the future and go on tour. We can dream can't we. :-)

I have to say I saw Perfect Circle in 8th grade (2001-2) and I was scared to death, but it has made me who I am today because I love tool (saw twice two years ago.) Maynard is amazing
