Mescalero – This is the REAL ZZ Top – rocking, bluesy, boogie, funky, country, cajun, swamp-thing!!! Surely their best album to date.

Hey Music Lovers!! This is Hard Rock Cafe in Dallas, and we enjoyed the boyz coming by for a show in June...for all you local fans, we want to invite you to come by and enjoy our new Happy Hour (4-7) on our new patio that has a great view of Dallas! We have live music every Friday night and hip-hop on Saturdays. So join us and let's talk music!

Like XXX, Mescalero sucks big time if you like the vintage ZZ sound. They are moving into some kind of hip hop-rock direction. Maybe this is really 21st century blues. I, personally, do not like it. Genius or crap?

"Mescalero" IS right on. This is one of the BEST ever. Some funky stuff all over the place with that mean Texas/Mexican guitar, bass, and drum thing that only the ZZ's can do so well.

Fave trax being "Mescalero", Buck Naked", "Alligator", "Crunchy", "Punk Ass", and all the rest of the line up.

Go fer it!

ZZ Top is one of my all-time favorite bands and I think that Eliminator and Sharp Dressed Men: Tribute to ZZ Top are the best CD's. One of my favorite songs by ZZ Top is Sharp Dressed man.

I used to like zz, but they sold out. all they do is cookie-cutter stupid groove tunes to make money. They waste all their talent with nothing but commercial bullshit. Man, I'm from the old school, where dudes wrote music worth listening to and then played their asses off touring for the fans. zz sucks !@! they forgot how to write a piece of work. gibbons just jerks off now, no more innovation left in him, I guess. Hell, just look at all those stupid, ridiculous videos they made for MTV. Duane must be laughing in his grave at you, Billy boy. What a piece of crap band they turned out to be. God, I will change the station when I hear them on the radio. I don't own any of their albums.
I trashed them all. I won't waste my money on their crap anymore. Sell OUTS !

Question: who ripped-off whom? John Lee Hooker in "Boogie Chillen" or the Boys in "La Grange"? The guitar riff is virtually identical in both!
