The Yeah Yeah Yeahs are one of the most original and outright cool bands to have come out of NYC in years. They make the Strokes look like the amateur fumblers they really are. Karen O has an amazing voice and the strait drums giutar combo rival the white strpes. Two of their best songs are 'Mystery Girl' and 'Modern Things'., with the later so full of energy and dynamic sound as to defy beliefe. This isn't just hype - they are the real thing. Yeah Yeah Yeah!!!

how can you not like them? maps makes me want to cry everytime I hear it and rich reminds me of my best friend because he quotes it to drunken navy douchebags. karen is sooo cute. to sound that wonderful when you're shit-faced drunk should be an inspiration to us all! of course by the time i finish this some asshole like L.A. Reid is going ton give them some fat record deal and they're gonna sell out. let's pray that this doesn't happen. nick z. is totally cool. i'm strangely attracted to him

I found this band to be the best of the "NYC Sound" to come out. Much better then the Stroks or White Hypes.......Karen has it down to the bone....This is true punk rock, Like Iggy did it.....She is coming out of her skin on stage, and the two man band thing works so well for them. Look I come from the old Punk Rock dayz and they are the real deal let me tell ya. It just sucks that they have to play MTV Bullshit Shows and be lumped in with all that scum bag sell out crap they push. I hope they sell like shit so we can have them last awhile and not go down fast like most of the MTV acts do. I have to say that I play the drums and that Meg White is a Crap drummer!!!!!! Dee from L7 is a far better drummer and the list go on too. She needs to get off the Drinkin' and start thinkin' Drums and put some back bone in to it, I just don't like that band I guess...heheheheh. Y.Y.Y's kick much ass on all the new band of the bunch of riders of the late 70's/80's NYC think....the rest should quit and sell the gear and pack it in. Rock on kids!

i was skepitcal at first just because i have been reading about this band for over a year now, and when somethmg gets hyped like that i tend to be a little prejudice against it. Now whether that is right or wrong is not the point of this discussion. the point is that when i finally heard them i was blown away by karen's vocals. i mean i haven't heard anything that true in a long time. i can't believe that the producer could capture that raw energy in her voice and emotion in a recording studio. unbelievable. they are truly a great band and i hope that they don't slide into oblivion

the yyy's are the best band i've seen live on stage in a while, the way they connect to the crowd and how Karens attitude and soul just flows out onto the stage is just a magical sight. See them live before you die!!!!! they are a magnificant sight to see........their sound is unique and completly original....they're extraordinary all over....seeing them live is a must!
