Wu Tang is the best hip hop squad: RZA, with his digital sound, is the greatest beatmaker, GZA, Method Man, Ghostface Killah, Raekwon and Inspectah Deck, with their beatiful voices, their excellent flows, their different styles are the best MC's in the world (with The Notorious Big). Peace

im really scared for the future of children from reading this thread. for the people who speak another langauge, its ok but for the rest who can speak english , please do . from the first cd to the last , i have been into this band . im 21 and was a kid when they came out . it was a different time and the music reflected . now though , music is $$ and has lost meaning /soul . fire up your p2p and search for underground bands . you will have to dig deep for the true hip hop artists , they are hidden in a crowd of many fakes . later ..

Who's the best member?
>>By sp1kee
I only really got into The Wu-Tang Clan after watching the movie Ghost Dog of which RZA (I think that's right) produced the soundtrack for.
I haven't really listened to much but I enjoyed the 36 Chambers album with the references to old kung-fu movies, although a lot of this stuff sounds dated compared to what you would expect today.
Still a hell of a lot better than the majority of rap artists out there.

I'm not overly keen on Masta Killa or Inspectah Deck, although the latter gets his job done. Even U-God in my opinion is underrated. And I suppose that guy who pops up now and then, Streetlife, is fairly mediocre. But apart from that, Wu-Tang Clan are fantastic rappers. Raekwon, Ghostface Killah and GZA stand at the top of my list. I can handle a bit of Method Man, ODB and RZA, but I prefer to hear them in the group context as opposed to solo. Who's left? Oh yeah, Cappadonna. He's okay.

Cappa and Street are fam, they're not core Clanstaz though. Cappa's a crazy freestyler.
And man Deck...Deck is the dopest MC of the lot after GZA.
>>By Stinkfist
I find INS to be great on 36 Chambers, quite average on all the rest.
Cappa was a core member in the W, he's named and pictured in the booklet.
Streetlife, don't know why I included him, he sucks anyway.
I really like the sound of Killah Priest actually.
Raekwon's gotta be second, right?
>>By sp1kee
Personally, Raekwon is my favourite, especially on the faster-paced raps (one example I can think of now is Severe Punishment - although he does sound a bit chopped-up). Alot of my preference has to do with voice though, and I just love his, it's the 2nd most distinctive in the group, it's smooth, and he seems to flow over the quicker raps, especially, effortlessly. Admittedly, some of his storytelling, though, I don't know whether it goes over my head, or it's just not vivid enough. But, he is one of the few (along with GZA) who doesn't talk about sex, at least not in the "bitch sucked my dick" kind of way, which is a good thing. (Hey RZA!) Plus, Raekwon makes the best partnership with my next favourite (after GZA) - Ghostface "feel the blast of a hype verse" Killah.
>>By sp1kee
Actually, it's Rae's verse on Hell'z Wind Staff that sounds chopped-up. His verse on Severe Punishment is flawless.
>>By sp1kee
I agree with sp1kee. Raekwon's the toppest shit.
