I think Willie Nelson is the John Wayne of his craft. A true American orginal. His music is not narrow mindedness. He was influenced by
such greats as Frank Sinatra, Hoagy Carmichel, Hank Williams and
Ernest Tubb and mexican music. Willie is also a musical genius.
The great Elvis Presley recorded Willie Nelson songs like Funny How
Time Slips Away, Always On My Mind and get this. On the morning of
Aug 16, 1977 Elvis Presley sat down at a piano and played Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain, a Willie Nelson song and the last song Elvis ever played on earth. So that should say a lot for Willie. I love Willie and he is the reason why I write music.

I am trying to locate a Willie Nelson album called A Horse called Music, if anyone could tell me where I could get it I would be so grateful. I seem to have lost my copy during a move, and I have never seen it in any music store here in Australia.

I am trying to find a way to get a song lyric to Willy. I think he is a genius as a writer and performer. I met him and walked hand in hand with him in a small town in Anniston, Alabama back when he was down on his luck and played at Anniston High School for a Christmas benefit. My husband was his bodyguard for the night, and when Willy and my husband posed for a picture, Willy felt the 9 mm that my husband was carrying to protect Willy, and he said, "ewwww." It was funny, but I never got the chance to get my picture with him. I did talk to his guitarist who said his wives name was Vicky too. People asked as we were walking hand in hand how long have you been with Willy? I looked at my watch and said about 10 minutes. When we reached the bus, I didn't go any further, but I wish now, I had taken the time to talk to him about his song writing talents. I am a teacher, and writing is my hobby.

Willie is a.k.a. Dr. Booger. His favorite whiskey is weed. He likes both cats and dogs and has a guitar named Trigger. His hat size is 7 1/4.

hats off to Willie Nelson- the farmers and truckers friend- and America's friend and FINEST talent. Hope he gets that bio-diesel thing goin on soon- we need to get the farmers back to work and give the truckers a break on fuel prices. I know- my husband is a long haul driver. The farmers feed us and the truckers of America keep our country moving- so Willie- your talents are certainly not limited to music- although, you're the best that ever was or ever will be!! We love you in TEXAS!!
