| Discussion: Vintersorg This man is absolutely brilliant. His music is very nice to listen to. He's is a very good 'screamer,' but he has some exellent clean vocals too. And just look at the lyrics; they are an ode to science and nature. Everyone who respects these things and makes such beautifull and complex music deserves to be honoured. I haven't got into Swedish heavy though, only metal band I've heard singing in Swedish is Finntroll and well, they're Finnish... >>By Catri Vintersorg sings both in English and Swedish, althought the older albums are completely Swedish. Not many Swedish metal-bands use the Swedish language. I think it's due to the fact that Sweden is more the death-metal country. Swedish death-metal has a typical sound, listen to In Flames, Soilwork and Darkane. Norway is more the country of black/folk metal together with Finland (Finnish bands have a typical sound too, Ensiferum, Children Of Bodom, Norther, Imperanon. High screams, with complex guitar and keyboard solo's). There have to be other metal bands singing in Swedish, but at the moment I can't mention any band :-( >>By Waddinxslayer You are not logged in.
