im just listening to the optimist now, i got it last year and forgot how good it actually is, awww im swept away in the cheesy relaxyness of the album, very nice indeed, i have the warm and fuzzy feeling, which is always a good thing, i love the wee hidden tracks too, nice one

I first heard of them when i went to see the Stereophonics in concert, and they were supporting them. I've loved them ever since! I've converted all my friends and they all love them too.

My Bro turned me on to 'the brakes' when they first released 'the optimist' and went to see them in sheffield in 2001! It's nice to see a band who are so completely different to all the nu-metal/rap and pop idol wannabes out there.... going to see them again on march 9th at rock city, nottingham.

oh, and roll on march 3rd!!!!!

Turin Brakes are the best! I've liked them ever since i heard 'The Door'- their first single released from 'The Optimist LP'. I've been to see them live three times! It will be my 4th on 20th March at Brixton Academy. Best songs are def 'Pain Killer' and 'Mind Over Money'.

Can't wait to see them again!!!!!!

They are absolutely AMAZING!!!! Serious,
* They know how to write wicked lyrics!
* They know how to make really good acoustic music, sounding different on each song!
* They have really nice voices to listen to, they can help you relax and then do the totally opposite by helping you wake up!
* Their songs are so true and inspirational on a totally deep level!
* They are both soooooooo good looking! They both have lush eyes!

Olly & Gale ------- Keep Rocking!!!!!!!!!! (Ahem, Acousticlly!)

Love

Sa them at Brum Academy 04/03/03. They all had the "green apple splatters" which actually took out the keyboard player.
Nevertheless the show went on and they were great.
What fantastic harmonies.
PS. Still getting into Ether song.

The Optimist LP is the sound track to a great chilled holiday in Bali and th Gili Isles.

Had never heard of them before then and it was a breath of fresh air to have some new band come through like them.

Spot on! Their live performances are top, even though i'd forgotten my glasses but hey!
