Tortoise is a great band.. I prefer Millions now living will never die, but the other albums are quiet good as welll.... felt so shitty when I missed them live... saw to late that they were coming, and thus it was sold out....
Don't know if Tortoise is actually still busy, but as it always happens with these bands, they have billions of side projects all worthy to try: one of the is Papa M/Aerial M, from Dave Pajo, or the things some memebers did with will oldham....
also vry good to try is the BOxhead ensemble, they made a soundtrack that is defenatly a must have if you like "post-Rock"...

There's a very good interview of Jeff Parker on the latest issue of Comes With A Smile. It's an excellent mag, people, check it out.

>>By thom

Did you read the interview with Steve Albini?
Really love the Mag, any word on the spring issue yet?

And the CD that accompanies the mag is always superb as well.

>>By Campking

yeah, a good interview.I like some of his principles.Don't know about the spring issue yet.Of course the Cd is superb but didn't this issue smell fantastic as well?

>>By thom

I don't recall any smell aftre opening it, but then again it was my girlfrind who opened it....

But always love the smell of newly printed books and mags........

I really hope Tortoise keep going and doing the stuff they do. I have seen them once, awe inspiring from a live point of view considering the amount of studio manipulation that went into TNT. It's all Around You continues to get played on my iPod, I take tortoise with me where ever I go. For those who find it boring, well I can understand and I truly feel sorry for you. This isn't bubblegum music.
