Discussion: Toploader

Id just like to say that i am a big fan of toploader and will always be. I cant believe they have split up. I went to watch them in newport and in the millenium stadium when they were supporting robbie williams and they were awsome. What are sony thinking.

Does anyone actually like toploader out there? I can't find anyone who does. Long live toploader! In memory of them I've formed an organisation called T.A.S. Long live T.A.S!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Top who? I was looking for lyrics for a 70s song that I like and came across the name Toploader. I haven't heard their version of the rock classic and I don't think I want to. Original versions are usually the best.

Ok, ok. I gave Toploader a listen-to and they do a decent remake of *Dancing in the Moonlight*. But that other stuff.. gawd. One guy on backup must be tone deaf. And what's with the keyboards? Maybe they moved on to Ska. Pathetic.

Toploader were an appalling little band who are better off dead.

What I dread to think about is that the talentless fools involved might have actually made some money out of it and some people will definitely receive royalty cheques every now and again and of course the buck toothed one has snared a semi-celebrity wife as well(that won't last long now will it, married to a session muso for the rest of your life when you thought you were getting a regular rock star? pffff)

Does anyone remember the 'dancin in the moonlight 'remix'? It involved someone saying 'break it down' every 20 seconds, great knob twiddling there and that was an excuse to release it for about the fourth time. That I think sums toploader up, a truly rubbish lower than journeyman band who lucked into a chart hit through which they made two boring albums.

Good riddance and if any of the toploader(great name by the way, trying to tie up a washing powder tour sponsor or something?) boys are reading, please never try to get back into the charts by reforming or forming a new band, let it go and maybe Gail Porter could pull some strings and you might get a last shot at fame on Top Ten Shittest Bands in 20 years.

Cheers guys, thanks for splitting up, although it came two albums and countless singles too late.

And yes, 99.9% of the nation felt like me. You really were that bad and hated!

>>By TOPLOADER, DIE!! HAHAAHAHAHAHAHAH

How could anyone think toploader bad?! I think it's more like 99.9% 'o people are wi me! toploader rock...ed!! I cant believe they split up! toploader-R.I.P.
