What? "Hi, I'm from Madrid"? Thin Lizzy rocks. It's a shame more people aren't into them. They're missing out.

The Life/Live is IMHO the best live album....ever.

Right on, brother.

With the "Live & Dangerous" one maybe, too. Poor sound but really good energy.
Cheers,
Madrugada.

I remember seeing Phil Lynott playing Parisian Walkways as a guest on the final encore at a Gary Moore gig just a few weeks before he passed away. A great talent, a true character and sadly missed........

Whiskey In The Jar reminds me so much of the first dances I ever went to, back in my student days. Hey, they were even on Top Of the Pops, I'm sure. Happy days!

Hi fJif ;)
I do also recall a very "relaxed" Phil L on "The Tube" with Lizzy... they were awesome even if it was the John Sykes/Darren Wharton lineup ;)

Ooooops typoman was visiting ;)

Apparently, the 'The Tube' episode you mention is supposedly the time when Paula Yates caught Philo in the act of 'fulfilling his addiction' in the dressing room!!
During the footage of 'The Boys are Back...' Just before the famous 'Getcha knickers down' line, Philo lets out a laugh due to John Sykes' awful backing vocals unable to hold it in anymore. They ARE terrible though!! =o>

Lizzy performed quite a few times on TOTP Jiffo. Usually with Philo lip synching purposely out of time if not provding live vocals...I bet many TV shows dreaded him haha!!
